'Garn Yam' (Cumbrian Dialect for - Going Home)fully modernised beautiful traditional little Lakeland cottage that sleeps 2, with a gorgeous living room and kitchen to relax in front of the wood burning stove flicking away, whilst you talk about how wonderful the days walk has been.

'Garn Yam' is tucked away up a quiet lane where we have a dedicated car parking space on the road by the cottage just in front of the grassed communal area , with Ambleside just being a short 2 minute walk away

The space
Welcome to our beautiful traditional Lakeland cottage, perfectly located just a 2-minute walk from the centre of Ambleside.

Step through the entrance into a cosy open-plan living and kitchen space, full of character and warmth. The living area is the perfect place to unwind after a day exploring the fells, complete with a charming wood burner to keep you snug on cooler evenings. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare relaxed breakfasts or hearty evening meals.

To the rear of the cottage, a door leads out to a shared garden area with seating — ideal for enjoying a morning coffee or an evening drink in the fresh Cumbrian air.

Upstairs, you’ll find a comfortable double bedroom designed for a restful night’s sleep, along with a modern shower room.

Combining traditional charm with modern comfort, this cosy cottage is an ideal base for couples looking to explore Ambleside and the stunning Lake District right from the doorstep.
