The space
*** Please note this is not 'just another hotel room' but more of an experience/adventure***
The accommodation is rustic and that’s a large part of its charm. The room isn’t insulated and the temperature will vary depending on the outside weather conditions and temperature. The room has a small air electric heater fan and electric blankets are available by request for an additional fee (£10).
We believe that staying here is a true experience and not just another room. We do have other types of accommodation available, so please click on my profile to find out more.

You have your room to yourself, adjoining another room which may be occupied by other guests. The toilets and showers are accessible via the white door in the corner of the courtyard, and are found down the corridor by following the signs. During your stay
We’ll be on hand or as discrete as required. There’s always things happening here, vinyls to place, stars to watch, and things to learn and do.

Neighborhood highlights

Back O’Th’ Hill Farm is located in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, in the centre of the Bolton Abbey and Devonshire Estate, only 10 minutes from the Priory and a short walk from the Valley Of Desolation which has a beautiful waterfall. The location at the heart of a historic working estate does mean that well behaved dogs are welcome, but please be advised that the Estate’s moorland – other than some limited bridleways on the west moor above Embsay – have a specific exclusion for dogs, including on leads. This is due to the moors’ status as an SSSI and SPA. Accordingly, we ask our well behaved dog owners/walkers to respect this, especially for the waterfall area. If you have a dog and would like to visit the waterfall, we ask that you make safe arrangements to keep your dog with us by prior arrangement. Thank you.
