Short term guests can walk along the Lake trails, access small beaches (one specifically near Peninsula Park ALA access #63), charter a boat through McKenzie Ski School, or take a tour on the Lake Arrowhead Queen. Our home is a 15 min walk to Tavern Bay Beach Club and UCLA Conference Center, a 7 minute drive to Blue Jay (Jensen's Grocery Store, Starbucks, Cinemas, Restaurants, Rite Aid, etc), and a 10 min drive to Lake Arrowhead Village ... perfectly situated in North Lake Arrowhead, but far enough to offer privacy and an escape from hectic city life. Please reach out to us for recommendations on beach access areas, walking trails, restaurants, shopping, hiking and places to go. The owners have worked in the design field in the film industry for many years, so the house has been furnished with an eclectic blend of new and antique decorator pieces, as well as some furnishings and accessories which have come from prominent film and television sets.

WINTER NOTES*
Snow chains are required to be carried in vehicles in the Winter. Please check roadway conditions, including chain controls, road closures, and more with the Caltrans "Quickmap" app or on the Caltrans website.
The driveway and entryway will be cleared of snow upon your arrival, but it will be the guest's responsibility to maintain those areas during your stay. Thankfully our home's driveway has a level access, and our street is plowed by the county. Snow shovels are located in the garage, near the trashcans by the garage door, and we can provide a contact for snow removal if you would rather hire out.
Guest access
⟡ Guests are allowed access to all spaces EXCEPT 2 locked owner closets, loft in primary bedroom, and locked buildup. Loft is locked to protect the hvac system, ducts run along the floor and can get damaged. Please do not go up there for any reason, thank you!
⟡ No garage parking allowed, garage is only for putting garbage into trash cans. Garage doors are very narrow so we do not want guests to scratch their vehicles by driving into the garage.
Other things to note
The property is located in a quiet residential area in North Lake Arrowhead, near Tavern Bay Beach Club. Please be respectful of our neighbors, and keep noise to a minimum.
*LAKE ARROWHEAD LAKE ACCESS RULES*:
Lake Arrowhead is a private lake for residents of Lake Arrowhead, but guests are allowed to walk along the lake access trails, access small beaches, or charter a boat through Mckenzie Water Ski School. Unfortunately the ALA has restricted all short term guests use of the Beach Clubs and private docks. There are smaller beaches where guests can enjoy, one is near Pennisula Park off the 173 near the Marina (Access #63). This access does have many stairs. Please reach out to our local manager for information on small beaches, hiking and any other recommendations you would like. In order to access the lake, we will need to pre-register everyone in your party to receive wristbands. Once you have been registered, you can visit the Lake Arrowhead Association in the Marina, and receive your wristbands which are $10/a day. Make sure to bring our Lake Passes, they are required!
Anyone can also ride the Queen, Lake Arrowhead's historic ferry, but make sure to book a reservation in advance.
STRING LIGHTS:
The outdoor deck string lights are controlled by the Echo Dot/Alexa. Instructions are located on the console in living room where the Echo Dot sits.

Please do not unplug the Echo dot or bring it outside. Due to San Bernardino's Dark Sky Curfew, the string lights are programmed to turn off at 11pm.
HOT TUB:
Instructions for operation of the hot tub and instructions for the hinge back cover are in the house book and posted on the hot tub. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE HOT TUB COVER OFF COMPLETELY, IT IS MADE TO FOLD BACK IN HALF AND THEN LEAN AGAINST WALL. Please do not leave hot tub cover off if it is a cold night, the heater may not be able to heat the tub sufficiently and can cause possible damage/overheating to the system. If this damage occurs, guests will be held responsible for the cost of the hot tub repairs.
SECURITY CAMERAS/RING DOORBELL
We have a Ring door bell camera and 4 Video Cameras at the exterior of the property only. They are located at the front entrance facing the front door, facing the driveway, facing the parking area in front of the house, and at the back deck entrance. This is only to monitor the parking and occupancy. We cannot view the hot tub from the back deck camera. Please do not disconnect any cameras.
ELECTRIC CAR CHARGING:
We do not have an EV charger, however our home does have an outlet near the driveway (located low on the right side of the garage doors) which can be used for car charging.
HEATING AND AC TIPS:
Finding the right balance of temperature in a 3 level home can be a challenge, especially since all guests are different. Tips are provided in our house book. Since we know that all guests like different temperatures, we do have a portable AC unit that we will connect in the Living Room during the Summer months, which you can use in place of the Living Room central AC, as well as additional fans will be left for your use. During the hot season, we recommend closing all windows and doors, lowering shades during the day, and turning on ceiling fans in bedrooms. Once the temperature cools down, we recommend turning off the AC, opening windows and doors, and letting the natural breeze to flow through the house. Thermostats may be locked between 72-80 in order to keep the AC from freezing due to excessive use.
