A holiday cottage cross escape room - Can you solve the puzzles, unravel the story, and gain the prize... all in one long weekend? The house is filled with puzzles and clues, all woven together into a story for you to discover. Part of the experience is a treasure hunt around Tewkesbury, hopefully a fun way to explore this historic town. The first puzzle will begin after your booking is confirmed... solve this to open the keysafe!
The space
Characterful and historic house with three floors. Well-equipped kitchen, spacious living room, and three bedrooms (one single, one twin and one double with ensuite). As well as the ensuite there are two separate bathrooms, one with shower and the other with shower over bath. In total there are five beds, but if you really want to come as a group of six then get in touch (it’s possible to set up another mattress in the single room, though you might fall over each other, we won’t charge any extra for this).
Guest access
You will have the whole house to yourselves. The house is accessed via a passageway shared with our neighbours behind, so please respect their privacy and don’t go further down the passageway than our front door. One practical thing to note is that sadly the house doesn’t have its own parking. There are spaces on the street outside that are free for 1hr, which are handy for unloading the car. As for car parks, the closest one is the Abbey Car Park in Gander Lane (about 100m away), but this is short stay at £1/hour up to £7 for the day. There is a long stay car park further down Gander Lane and this charges £4 per day.
Other things to note
Our family still stay here when we’re not letting it out on Airbnb, so the house is well-loved; please be kind to it! Note that the house is not geared up for pets or young children but we reckon older children aged 8+ might enjoy the puzzles. We offer a three-night weekend, so you have plenty of time to relax between the puzzles and you can explore the lovely local area, but if you can only come for 2 nights then you can stay Fri-Sun and check out late on the Sunday (4pm).
