The space
Tucked away in one of Earth’s rarest ecosystems — the Kona Cloud Forest — this extraordinary region exists in only a handful of places worldwide. Here, gentle mists drift through an ancient rainforest, nurturing a vibrant tapestry of native plants, ferns, and birds found nowhere else. Our property sits right along the edge of the protected Kona Cloud Forest Sanctuary. We are also just a few properties down from Mountain Thunder Coffee Plantation and the Makaʻula Oʻoma Trail.

Spread across five tranquil acres in the cool uplands of Kaloko, the property offers a serene retreat in nature. The main home rests on a spacious one-acre parcel surrounded by tropical landscaping, with open areas and peaceful lanais perfect for relaxing to the sounds of the forest. Two small, private cottages elsewhere on the land are home to our property stewards, while the remaining four acres remain untouched native rainforest — a lush haven of towering ʻōhiʻa trees, hapuʻu ferns, and birdsong that feels remote and wild, yet is only minutes from town.

Guest access
The main house is completely private and reserved just for you. You’ll have full access to the entire home, including all living areas, bedrooms, the kitchen, bathroom, lanais, and the yard space directly surrounding the house. The garage area is used for property supplies and also holds your washer and dryer, though it is not available for parking.
Guest parking is located in the covered parking area just to the left of the garage.
The home is not shared with anyone and provides plenty of room and privacy throughout your stay. It’s a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature, offering space to unwind both indoors and outdoors.
