Exceptional check-in experience

Recent guests gave the check-in process a 5-star rating.
Drovers Pook Lane is a picturesque self-contained annexe, nestled within it's own mature cottage garden, in the heart of idyllic village East Lavant.
Walking distance from all Goodwood attractions, 3 miles from Chichester's city centre and within the South Downs National Park. Located in a perfect spot to explore, there are many amazing walks, cycle routes and award winning pubs right on the door step.

The space
Set in the grounds of a 16th century thatched cottage, Drovers guest annexe is detached and set away from the main property in it's own mature cottage garden. The private entrance gate offers access from the lane outside where parking can easily be found.

Inside there is a modern shaker style kitchen/breakfast room with all you need to ensure a comfortable stay while self-catering, including a Nespresso coffee machine and Neff appliances.

There is a separate living area with comfy seating, perfect to snuggle up with a book or while enjoying the smart TV.
Doors open up to the garden, idyllic for warm summer days.

At the top of the open stairway there is a king size bedroom within the pitched roof. Light floods this room with views across the tree tops and village below.
Crisp "White Company" bed linen, fluffy towels and bath robes await your arrival.

The property offers a beautifully designed downstairs shower room, including Faith in Nature toiletries.

Although bijou, the property offers plenty of storage for those staying a little longer.

Adjoining the property you have a wash house where you will find a washer/dryer and room for walking boots and waterproofs. Another outbuilding houses an inside lockable space for two bicycles, ideal for days exploring the downs.

The private garden is mainly laid to lawn edged with rose boarders and shady trees. A little summer house sits at the top of the garden looking back at the property, ideal for the evening sun.

Provided for your stay... A welcome loaf of bakery bread, Goodwood semi-skimmed milk and butter.
Exceptional bed linen and towels, Faith in Nature toiletries, Twinings teas,
echo coffee pods, sugar, olive oil, salt & pepper, washing up liquid, hand wash, washing capsules, cleaning products, toilet/ kitchen roll & tea towels

Please note that although we can accommodate little ones, the property is designed for two guests. We do not have gates on the stairs which are open and the garden although laid to lawn does have a few steps and is not suitable for young toddlers. We recommend babes in arms. We can provide a travel cot, highchair, changing mat and baby bath on request.

Where to dine - here are a couple of our favs...
The Royal Oak pub is across the road and serves great food and local ales, a short stroll across the road and you can even enjoy a cooked breakfast or coffee out on their terrace.
A walk across the village green takes you to The Earl of March with incredible views of the South Downs.

Pre booking is always advised!

Guest access
You can access through your own private gate leading alongside the property. Parking is directly outside on the quiet lane. This can be narrow and sometimes guests like to park further along the lane where it widens.

Other things to note
Rest assured we follow a strict cleaning regime between stays, all areas of the property will be thoroughly cleaned and re set by the airbnb guide lines. All linen and towels are professionally cleaned off site. Should you need a changeover during your stay this can be arranged and we kindly ask that guests do not attempt to wash any of our linen themselves.

On check out towels/dressing gowns are to be left in the shower room and bed linen can be left in the bedroom for collection.

We ask that all food/rubbish is removed from the property on check out and placed in the main outside bins. (Details are within our information pack within the property)

If you are staying while a Goodwood event is on there may be increased noise from the events and the village can experience heavier traffic.

Booking taxis and a table to eat at one of the local pubs ahead of your stay
is always advised 365 days of the year and more so while event season is on.
