This charming 1940s Sunday house sits on two private acres between downtown Fredericksburg and the 290 Wine Trail. With its own gate and wood-burning fireplace, enjoy sunsets on the front porch, peaceful mornings with coffee, and wildlife viewing. The vintage-inspired living room and kitchen add cozy character.

Conveniently located: 5 mi. from Luckenbach, 1 mi. from Bankersmith, 10 min to the Wine Trail, and 10–15 min to downtown Fredericksburg.

The space
The Dove House is a light-filled 1940s dollhouse-style retreat with two bedrooms, a full kitchen, indoor wood-burning fireplace, dining area, bathroom with shower/tub, and a spacious front living room with picture windows on all sides.

Outdoor spaces include a front porch, large yards, and a Chiminea fire pit area. The property sits on a quiet cul-de-sac and backs up to a large ranch, attracting abundant wildlife including Whitetail and Axis deer, birds, red fox, hawks, owls, and more.

Built in 1946 across from St. Mary’s Church in downtown Fredericksburg, the house once housed a family and visiting nuns. In the early 2000s, it was relocated to this private country acreage, blending vintage Fredericksburg charm with easy access to wineries, restaurants, local culture, and shopping.

This space is generally fragrance-free, avoiding harsh chemical cleaners or scents except in rare emergencies.

We will be in touch day of check in with info on how to access the house :) We do not allow pets or indoor smoking.. we do have a security camera installed at the property in the driveway area facing the driveway

Neighborhood highlights

The Dove House is located on a quiet street with lots of deer, birds and other wild life in the area. Bankersmith dance hall is just down the road, as well as Old Tunnel State Park and Luckenbach Dance Hall. We are a 10 minute or so drive to the wineries and main street Fredericksburg.
