Welcome to our beautiful historic looking home, Cottage de Galvez. We are centrally located in the heart of beautiful Galveston Island near the Silk Stocking District. We are within walking distance of the Seawall, beaches, and the Pleasure Pier Amusement Park and only a short drive from the Strand Historic District, Schlitterbahn Water Park & Moody Gardens. Menard Park is also only a few blocks away offering tennis courts, a skate park, water splash pad, and picnic areas.
The space
We have enjoyed hosting for 4 years and kept our SuperHost status the entire time until we had the privilege of hosting a guest for 6 months and then needed to do some repairs. However, then we no longer qualified for SuperHost Status. We are excited to get our listing back up and are on track to get our SuperHost badge back!
The home is a 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath 2 story cottage that sleeps 8-9. The upper level has 3 bedrooms; (#1) Master bedroom with a King bed with ensuite bath & walk-in closet, (#2) a room with a Queen bed, (#3) a room with a Full bed with a pull-out twin trundle and a shared full bath in the hallway. The lower level has a 1/2 bath and the Den in the front of the house has a Full size sleeper sofa and curtains on the door openings for privacy.

House Rules:
o Please treat our house with the same respect as you would your own home. We’ve put a lot of effort into making this into a lovely space to be enjoyed by our guests. Please ensure everything is in order upon check-in and communicate any issues so that they may be addressed at the beginning of your stay.
o Please follow all guidance provided in the house manual and be sure to maintain a good level of cleanliness throughout your stay. This will make it much easier when check-out time comes!
o In case of any accidental damage, please notify us immediately so we can address any repairs needed in a timely manner.
o We want you to enjoy your vacation and time at our home to the maximum, but we do have to set some restrictions on visitor numbers for safety reasons. As part of our vacation rental agreement, we need the names and details of each adult member of your traveling party. In addition, please respect the maximum visitors and rules regarding visitors as set out below.
o The Primary renter must be 25 and on premises during rental period.
o There is a maximum of 8 overnight guests allowed
o No more than 14 guests are to be on the Cottage de Galvez premises at one time
o No tampering with security cameras
o No smoking/vaping. An extra cleaning fee of $500 will be accessed.
o No parties/events, illegal or loud activities.
o We hope you have lots of laughter and fun times during your vacation! However, we’d really appreciate it if you’re mindful and keep noise to a minimum during nighttime hours.
o There are no animals are allowed on the premises, not even visiting ones. Some guests and the host are allergic. An extra cleaning fee of $500 will be accessed if any animals are brought onto premises.
o Have fun! This is your vacation and we hope you make the most of our home, its amenities and your opportunity to relax and visit the surrounding area!
Guest access
~Guests are granted access to the Cottage de Galvez with a unique smart lock code issued at 4pm on the day of arrival.
~The guests have access to the living space of the entire house except two small owner closets and the garage.
~Please note that guest must use stairs to access the house and within the house to access the bedrooms.

~If there is one thing that COVID taught us, you never know what is going to happen! We highly recommend travel insurance.
