The space
You're 10 steps away from the entrance of Huckleberry Woods micro animal adventures, with free entry for all guests staying in the cottage during opening hours. Visit our adorable miniature animals, have a turn on the romantic apple tree swing or let the children play in the boat, collect conkers and pine cones, pick fruit from the orchard or just hang out among our peaceful free ranging animals. You can even arrange to take the micro pigs, miniature donkeys Teddy Bear sheep or alpacas for a walk (charges apply). No pets due to proximity of freeranging animals.

Faversham is a wonderful little town with so much to see and do. From romantic walks along the creek and through boat yards to bird watching at the fabulous Oare nature reserve there's loads to do for nature lovers. If you're looking for something more lively we have market day 3 days a week and there is always live music to be found in the evening. With several interesting pubs from the historic Sun Inn to the historic remote smugglers tavern - The Shipwrights Arms Faversham is a great place to spend time. Faversham hosts many and varied festivals throughout the year, from the world famous Hop Festival to the vintage transport festival and many more- there's something for everyone. We're round the corner from the Brogdale national apple collection, Belmont House and Doddington Manor. We're about 15 minutes drive away from the beautiful seaside town of Whitstable and about 20 minutes drive away from Canterbury town centre. Our cottage is the perfect getaway without being too far from the action - you really do have the best of both worlds here.
I'm afraid we can't accommodate pets as we have free-ranging animals on site. Be prepared for noises of the countryside and farm animals and there is a train running at the perimeter of the orchard.
Bedroom with double bed and a pull-out double, day bed in the living room; Ikea Hemnes style. (Please note, there are double duvets rather than singles).

Guest access
All the space in the cottage, a small private pebbled courtyard as well as access to a narrow fenced, woodland area behind the car park.
Visiting Huckleberry Woods micro animal adventures and mini play area (under 7s only) can be arranged, during opening hours (10.30am - 3.30pm most days. Please note - we're closed to visitors one or two days a week and sometimes closed for private parties). All visitors to the orchard are allocated 2 hour time slots to keep the experience personal and tranquil for all our guests. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times at Huckleberry Woods. Please pre-arrange your session(s) so we can check availability and get you booked in.
Other things to note
Animals are present. You'll need to wash your hands after handling animals, before eating and drinking and when leaving the orchard. You'll need sturdy, closed toed shoes to visit the farm as hooves and trotters are present.
If you'd like to book to walk the micro pigs, miniature donkeys, alpacas or take part in the Teddy Bear sheep experience or Private Piggy encounter, please let us know - it's advisable to book this in advance to avoid disappointment. The cottage has one bedroom with a double bed. In addition, there is an Ikea Hemnes pull out bed which is in the living room. Maximum occupancy is 4 only (this includes, adults, children and infants)
The holiday cottage and the ENTIRE grounds of Huckleberry Woods, including the cottage itself, the pebbled courtyard, the car park, the woods and the orchard, are STRICTLY NO SMOKING OR VAPING. Animals graze freely in all areas.
A maximum of 2 parking spaces are available for Airbnb guests.
