While being located on a quiet, cobbled cul-de-sac, this newly refurbished flat is just 5 mins walk from Chester station, 7 mins from the city centre & less than a minute from the vibrant Brook St., which boasts an eclectic range of restaurants, takeaways & amenities.

Comprising the full 1st floor of the building, this spacious flat has a lounge, kitchen/diner & luxury spa bath. It sleeps 2 couples in super king & queen beds, or can be set up as a king & twin (+cot if needed) to suit a family.

The space
With its own private entrance, Welsh slate floors in the kitchen and bathroom, and luxury touches such as a spa bath and Smart TVs with Netflix in each bedroom, this flat offers a cosy home from home environment in which to relax and recharge while visiting Chester.

The property is suitable for two couples sharing, or for a family. It has a fixed queen-size bed in the master bedroom and offers flexible sleeping arrangements in the second bedroom, which can be set up as either a super king, single or twin. All sheets and bedding are provided.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a double sink, dishwasher, cooker, induction hob, pots and pans, plates, glasses and cutlery. There is also a fridge, freezer, microwave, coffee machine, washing machine and tumble dryer in the utility area next to the kitchen.

In the bathroom, you can take a shower or a bath. The bath also has a spa option, which is excellent for relieving aching muscles after a long day sight-seeing (towels provided). Note that under 14s should not be permitted to use the spa.

Due to the proximity of the flat to transport links, shops, amenities and the city centre, a car is not necessary, however, for those who do travel by car, on-street parking for one car can be provided directly outside the property.

The flat is on the first floor, with entrance via a (steepish) staircase. It is therefore not suitable for those with poor mobility - once upstairs the flat is on one level.

A stair-gate is available for those visiting with infants/young children.

Guest access
Guests have private access to the whole flat.

Neighborhood highlights

The flat is located on a quiet cul-de-sac in an area designated as a 'Home Zone'. This means that, while cars are permitted, there is a 20 mph speed limit, and the streets are designed with pedestrians and pedestrian safety in mind. The 'Home Zone' status of the area benefits residents by limiting traffic noise and pollution, thus ensuring that despite being so close to the city and local amenities, the area is quiet, clean and safe.

The flat is less than a minute's walk from Chester's vibrant Brook Street, which boasts an eclectic selection of independent businesses including restaurants, takeaways and food stores. Want to go Chinese, Indian, Italian, vegetarian, Polish, Thai, Turkish or even English? Go Brook Street!

Once you've sampled what Brook Street has to offer, you may want to take a stroll in the other direction towards the canal. If you have kids in tow, they'll want to stop at the play area and feed the ducks before crossing the canal and then stopping for a bite to eat at the child and dog friendly cafe Fork and Flavour. For those without kids, walk on a little way further to find one of Chester's most popular pubs, The Old Harker's Arms (adults only and dog friendly. Tip: dog treats are on the bar to your left as you enter). Next to Harker's is the popular bar/eatery Artichoke (child and dog friendly). From here, you'll be able to see Chester's newest supermarket, a mulit-million pound Waitrose where you can stock up on groceries if you fancy utilising the flat's newly fitted out kitchen (the Waitrose has its own bar for those on shopping duty needing a pit stop...well, you are on holiday right!?).

Still want more? Ok, so from Harkers, head back in the direction you came, but go up the stairs and you'll find yourself on City Road. Here there are more pubs, a selection of Indians (we recommend The Koconut Grove, which serves some fantastic Southern Indian dishes that you won't find on the menu in an average Indian), modern Italian, a cocktail bar and, if you like a show with your dinner, Siam Thai & Teppan-Yaki, where the chefs will entertain you with feats of juggling, balance and percussion as they cook up delicious food. Oh and another thought, if you fancy getting off-land, you could board the Mill Hotel & Spa's restaurant boat for a lunch or dinner cruise. And all of that is before you even get to the city walls, where you will of course find a plethora more options for eating, drinking and entertainment.

I moved from the south coast to Chester 7 years ago. I live with my husband, daughter, son, dog and two cats. My husband, son and daughter are born and bred Cestrians, with myself and the family pets honorary Cestrians. We all adore the city in which we live and are always excited to show it off to visitors. I still recall my first visit to Chester. "Wow, this is where you come from? I love it, let's live here." I said to my partner - ok, so I can't be sure they were my exact words, but it's certainly a good approximation. Anyway, upon the strength of this utterance, we sold the boat we had lovingly renovated and lived on for 10 years - a 60ft, ex-RAF Air Sea Rescue Launch, built in 1943 - and ventured back to land. In short, Chester is my chosen terra ferma and well worth a visit.
