Guests love the calm, handcrafted feel of Castle Creek Escape. Just two blocks from shops and cafés, it's close to hiking, waterfalls, Castle Crags, Mt. Shasta Ski Park, swimming holes, and rainbow trout fly fishing. Vintage-style bikes are available for cruising around town.

The space
Welcome to Castle Creek Escape—your own quiet retreat, where comfort, character, and calm come together. With a seasonal creek in the front, along with a rustic bench and picnic table, this space is the perfect place to unwind at the end of the day—whether you've been chasing waterfalls, strolling forest trails, casting a line, or simply soaking in the mountain air. Inside, you’ll find two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a relaxed living and dining area, and a woodstove that adds warmth and charm. Thoughtful handcrafted touches—like barn doors made from the home’s original interior doors and custom live edge wood accents—make the space feel special. It’s the kind of place that feels familiar in the best way—like a home you’ve been to before, and one you’ll want to return to again.

Guest access
You’ll have full access to the entire home, along with two dedicated parking spots in front. There’s also plenty of street parking, including room for trailers if needed.

Castle Creek Escape loves dogs and welcomes well-behaved pets with open arms. There’s a small dog-friendly spot near the corner for quick walks, and the surrounding area is great for peaceful morning strolls into town—just a couple blocks to local cafés and shops.

Other things to note
This is the perfect location for your visit to Siskiyou County It is located on a quiet street with extra parking and friendly neighbors. It is only a block from Dunsmuir downtown with Cornerstone and the Dunsmuir Brewery one block away, Bee Kind and other restaurants within walking distance. The house iwas built in 1903 and has been renovated to include modern comforts. The exterior will be painted a crisp white, a library added and there are a few other renovations in process. I have made it pet friendly so you can walk and hike with your best friend. I can not imagine vacationing without Vincent and I want you to have that same enjoyment as well.
