Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Dunsmuir

It was our second time staying here and it was great! Very spacious and private and close to many great places to explore in the area.

We love charming, historic and friendly McCloud. The house is nicely remodeled, has a great and well-stocked kitchen, 3 comfy bedrooms and a well appointed living room. We enjoyed a cozy fire in the wood stove on the cold mornings. And dog friendly! The fenced back yard, water bowls and dog blankets made our pups right at home, too. We look forward to returning.

We are frequent flyers at Castle Creek Escape. This is our 3rd time and we will definitely be back. Cammy is such a wonderful host. The space is always sparkling clean and you can tell that everything is done very intentionally. We always have so much fun with all the games and interesting books. There’s also a little gift shop with handmade crafts. That is also awesome. We can’t wait to come back soon.

this was a wonderful spot to spend a long weekend at. couches and bed were super comfy. bathroom super clean. and awesome location- no more than 15 minutes to great restaurants and hikes!

Claudia’s home was absolutely beautiful! Nestled amongst evergreens with plenty of space for the kids to play, snow or shine :) The home itself was open and welcoming, with wonderful, rustic decor and family style kitchen with all the amenities. The bedrooms were generously sized, and had the most comfortable beds! We will definitely be coming back! Sarah and Family

It’s a great location close to the Nordic and downhill ski areas- with a beautiful view of Mt Shasta! The kitchen was well equipped (no cheap cooking stuff) and everything was clean and lovely. Thyra is the most friendly and responsive host I have ever had. The place has a beautiful, restful energy with many thoughtful touches such as snacks, warm blankets, beautiful butterfly art, and board games. The host provides many great recommendations to see and do. I was able to have a very spontaneous stress-free visit thanks to this space. Highly recommend and will be back!

Great spot centrally located with easy access to town and highways. Clean and well stocked kitchen and bathroom, I would stay again.

A nice, peaceful and beautiful place. Conveniently located, almost 15 mins to Mt Shasta City. Host was very friendly, responsive and accommodated our odd hours checkin and checkout. Very knowledgeable about the area as well.

We enjoyed our stay. It was peaceful and quiet and had everything we needed. Appreciated the well stocked kitchen and comfortable living area. The hot tub was a big plus!

John was very friendly and welcoming. We felt completely at home on his and Sandy’s beautiful property! It’s a peaceful and enchanting getaway in the forest, yet an easy five minutes from town. We didn’t want to leave.

We loved everything about our stay and the hospitality of our hostess Thyra. Thyra was extremely responsive to any messages we sent and questions we asked. We took Thyra up on complimentary breakfast items and made breakfast before going and exploring the gorgeous water falls that are just a short walk away. We were uneasy about some winter storm warnings and Thyra provided clear instructions for how to get to the house on the first night and was responsive to our late night messages towards our arrival. We enjoyed our stay and we plan on booking with Thyra again very soon!
