Camp Smiley is an original Maine Camp overlooking Embden Pond with direct access on a private dock. The space is perfect for a family or small group, sleeps 4 comfortably and up to 6 max. Enjoy beautiful sunsets, camp fires, lawn games, BBQ's and activities on the water. This generational family camp has its own unique charm and we look forward to sharing it with you! Close to hiking and biking trails, waterfalls and whitewater rafting only 40 minutes away!
The space
Upon entering Camp Smiley you'll find that the open concept layout will be a breath of fresh air once you get a glance out our picture window! The kitchen is well stocked with spices, dish ware, cooking ware and all the basics including a filter style coffee maker and dishwasher. The living room includes a couch, rocking chair, recliner, TV with Roku and wireless internet throughout. For additional sleeping space the couch is a sleeper sofa which has a comfortable inflatable mattress.
The bathroom may be small but has all the essentials with a stand up shower. There are two bedrooms: both on the main floor, each have their own Queen sized beds, small closet with enough space to hang your clothes and a dresser in each room for more storage. Each bedroom has their own AC units which helps keep the whole camp cool.
The sunroom is right off the living room and is a great area to have coffee or dine in. Ample windows with shades for privacy or open the blinds to enjoy the views with full sun beaming right in! Through the sunroom you'll find access to the oversized deck overlooking the lake. We provide a BBQ Grill with propane for your use as well as an outdoor dining table and a motorized awning for those hot sunny days. We have additional lounge chairs for sunbathing and relaxing! From the deck or the basement you can easily access your very own private dock on the lake!
Our basement is primarily used for storage; personal belongings and recreational activities such as a 2 person tandem kayak, bicycles or anything else readily available. (Life jackets are required to be on at all times when in use!) We also have an onsite washer & dryer downstairs for guest use.
Towels and linens are provided. For camp fires please bring your own chairs and Maine State firewood.
Guest access
Guest have full access to the camp, fire pit in yard, and grill outside on deck.

House Rules:
We ask that you leave the home as you found it, dishes should be washed and put away, furniture all in its place, check out instructions followed the morning of your departure, etc.
No smoking or vaping (of any kind) in the house.
Pet's are allowed (up to 2) for a one time fee of $50. We ask that you be mindful of your pets, we are happy to host them but please be respectful of the home and property! This includes keeping them off furniture if possible (if not, use a throw blanket or towel) and not leaving them unattended for long periods of time.
We ask that you clean up their waste and dispose of it in the exterior garbage cans.
We kindly ask you remove trash & returnables from the home the day of your departure and place in designated barrels (refer to house manual.)
We understand accidents happen, if anything is broken during your stay, please notify your Host/Co-Host.
No large gatherings or events without owner's written permission. Limit number of guests to those that have been accounted for in the rental.
Extra's:
This camp is located directly on Embden Pond, please be aware of your surroundings. Guests may use the kayak, bicycles and swim at their own risk.
Detailed directions will be provided through the check in instructions and two days before your arrival. Please read carefully.
We are pet friendly and have a one time fee of $50. (Two pets maximum)
