Welcome to the Blue Crab Cottage.
Built in 2024, the Blue Crab Two replaces our beloved original Blue Crab.
Your days will start with colorful Matagorda Bay sunrises and equally spectacular Powder horn Lake sunsets. The 360 degree views from the crow's-nest, are a favorite for bird and dolphin watching. Fish the bay out front or lake in the back. Just a few yards away, the Indianola Courthouse monument and Cistern monument are remainders of the catastrophic hurricanes of historic Indianola.

The space
Built on piers, the Blue Crab is accessed by two flights of stairs. Beautiful large decks face the Bay and Lake. Enter at the kitchen which features granite countertops, custom cabinets, and a counter height table with four stools. The living room has a comfy couch, two recliners, and a queen size murphy bed. Off the kitchen is the laundry room, cleaning closet, and the additional bathroom. The spacious main bedroom has a king bed, end tables, travel closet, private bath, and bay views. Upstairs is the crows nest with its spectacular views, a queen bed, dresser, and end tables. Please use the downstairs outdoor kitchen for your crab boil or frying fish. A mini fridge is also provided in the outdoor kitchen for your beverages or bait. Darrel's blue shed in the yard has a charcoal barbeque, outside chairs, and a crab trap. There is a fish cleaning table and outdoor spigots for water. The private boat slip is perfect for kayaks or canoes. And many fish have been caught off the private deck on the Lake while bird watching.
