Neighborhood highlights

The island is a photographer and/or nature lovers dream! Enjoy stunning sunsets and sunrises on the pristine beaches of Bald Head Island. The dark skies offer views of the Milky Way Galaxy you can enjoy without a telescope. -or- Enjoy a quiet stroll thru miles of undeveloped beaches and preserved natural forests, lovingly maintained by the BHI Converancy programs to keep the island wild and wonderful. You can often spot deer, fox, and even turtles - especially in hatching season (Bald Head Island is famous for its Sea Turtle conservancy program).

"Air" Cottage is very conveniently situated on the water in the Marina, minute walks from shops and restaurants, Old Baldy lighthouse, and across the street from a great spot to rent bikes, paddleboards, etc.
And of course, being at the marina, you get to watch the boats come in.
It's a 5 minute walk to the shore, and there's lots of shell-seeking opportunities to be had on all of the beaches that surround the island.
10 min cart ride to excellent grocery store, and more shops, restaurants, etc.

**Shoals Club access available for additional fee direct thru the club. Located at end of island on East Beach shoals; includes resort pool, bar, and additional fine-dining restaurants. Available Tuesday - Sunday thru season. Guest membership form link will be provided, guest rates are dependent on the time of year.***
