Our beautiful Victorian home, set on a pretty, quiet, residential street is the perfect Whitstable retreat. A short walk away from both the station and the beach, Belle Cottage features restored original flooring, beautiful ply features, hotel quality bedding, a sun-trap garden and a cast iron roll-top bath in our gorgeous pink and white tiled bathroom. If you’re coming with children, we also have you covered with a well equipped play den and plenty of books & games to keep them entertained.
The space
LIVING/DINING AREA
We have a lovely calm and relaxing space with a large comfortable sofa, an easy chair, ply bookshelves full of titles for you to peruse and a large 55” smart television, with Netflix and Disney +. Our Ercol dining table sits 6 comfortably and is the perfect spot to enjoy a meal or an afternoon Scrabble tournament!
BEDROOMS
Hotel quality bedding and exceedingly comfortable mattresses are the cornerstones of our bedrooms. Here is a bit more info about what you can find in each room:
KING MASTER BEDROOM

GARDEN
Our pretty sunny garden has a dining area for 6, where you can while many a Summer’s evening. The childrens' play den is at the back of the garden, just by the vines, which you'll find bursting with grapes during the warmer weather… and yes, you can eat them!
PLAY DEN
There is a kids' play den at the back of the garden, with lots inside to keep your little ones entertained! It’s equipped with plenty of paper and crayons, lego, toys and a play kitchen.
The play den is uninsulated, so for colder days we have a portable heater in the Garden Room.
GARDEN ROOM
In the garden room, (attached to the back of the house and accessible via the kitchen door ) you will find:

CHILDREN
We want your little people to feel looked after and excited about their stay at Belle Cottage. (Also, life is so much easier for the parents when you don’t have to bring EVERYTHING with you!) We have created a fun and dynamic play den for your children at the bottom of the garden, which should see them entertained for a few hours.

WORKING FROM HOME
We have strong wifi throughout the property, which makes working from home a breeze. You can work comfortably at the dining table downstairs, however if you need a bit more privacy, the dressing table in the master bedroom is large and can also be used as a desk. So you can close the door and have a peaceful space to work. Both areas have plug points within easy access.
There is also a wifi extender, which reaches into the garden (there are power points outside) and play den.
Guest access
There is also access at the back of the garden, which you can use to come and go from the property. This is particularly useful if you're returning from the beach with lots of sandy shoes, wetsuits or buckets and spades! There is a storage area in the garden where you can keep all of your beach bits and bobs, bikes and kites.
You have access to the whole house, bar a locked cupboard outside, which is reserved for the cleaners only.
