The space
You will love the location right on the beach overlooking the Gulf and the amenities of Royal Palms! (By the way, we are not "14 min walk" to the beach like ABB says, this is their programming error. we are directly on the beach :-D.) You can expect a sparkling clean condo, quality linens, upgraded furnishings and a full service kitchen that’s well stocked for your culinary needs. We take pride in providing you with the best "Home Away from Home" as possible so you can enjoy the beach and all that Gulf Shores and the Gulf of Mexico has to offer! Situated on the 8th floor serviced by two elevators you will have an amazing view!
Accommodations: The condo can sleep up to six (6) people including one bedroom with a king bed, hallway bunks with twin beds and a queen size sleeper sofa in the living room. **Note: We recommend four/five adults max for your ultimate comfort. The bunks are best for kiddos and they are a little shorter than a standard twin bed. The condo includes two full bathrooms which is always a bonus.
Living Room: The living room area is open concept and features tile floors, a couch with a queen sleeper sofa, reading chair, smart 65" TV, kitchen table for meals or game time (or desk space) and sliding glass doors out to the balcony. The balcony is our favorite place and it will wow you with endless views, a fresh breeze and the hypnotic sound of the waves. Free WI-FI and cable TV included. For rainy days you can find some cards and games inside the drawer on the tv chest. If you are lucky, you'll catch some dolphins playing or pelicans flying by you while you are out on the balcony.
Kitchen: If you choose to stay in to cook or prepare a snack, the chef's kitchen shines with gorgeous granite counter tops, a breakfast bar with stools, all appliances, pots/pans, utensils and serving ware. We have two coffee makers (a Keurig coffee maker and Mr. Coffee drip coffee maker), toaster, crock pot and blender available for your enjoyment too! A BBQ grill is located near the outdoor pool.
Washer/Dryer: For your convenience, a private laundry area is available for you inside the condo.
Bathrooms: There are two full bathrooms - one in the hallway and one is ensuite off the bedroom. The hallway bathroom has a tub with a shower overhead whereas the bedroom bathroom features a step-in shower. Both offer granite counter tops, shower pic wands and a fresh supply of towels.
On-Site Amenities: Royal Palms is a low density beachfront complex offering an outdoor pool, indoor pool and hot tub, steam room, sauna and fitness room. The fitness room is equipped with a treadmill and bike, both facing views of the beach to make your workout go a little quicker! There is a shower in this area as well. There are also outdoor showers to rinse off the sand from yourself and beach items as you are coming from the beach. If you are hankering for a BBQ, you can fire up the charcoal grills in the common area and enjoy your meal at the nearby picnic table.
Starter Supplies: Included in your rate is a starter supply of paper towels, toilet paper, laundry soap, shampoo, conditioner, facial soap and dishwasher detergent. Linens and bath towels are included but beach towels are not provided so remember to pack yours.
Beach Items: Perdido Beach Service provides rental beach chairs, umbrellas and other beach items directly behind the condo on the beach, weather permitting but typically March 1 - October 31st. Bring your own beach chairs if you choose plus beach towels and any beach toys. The bath towels are not allowed to be removed from the condo. There is an open access storage room near the elevators to store your beach toys and chairs, etc. The area is not secure so keep that in mind.
Parking: Royal Palms provides for up to two cars (no RVs, campers or trailers) in the ample parking offered onsite, based on a fee schedule of $60/vehicle for your entire stay (unless during The Hangout Fest when the fee is $150). The Guest Parking Certificate fee will be labeled as "Resort Fee" on your reservation. Please let us know ahead of time if you would like a second pass for an additional charge of $60.
You will need to display your Guest Registration Certificate inside your vehicle. You will find your parking certificate on the kitchen counter upon check-in. If there is a security guard at the parking lot, let them know that your pass is inside the condo. Please indicate if you do not need a parking space and we will credit you back the expense of the permit. Thank you so much.
This is a NON Smoking condo including the balcony. There is a smoking area outside by the BBQ. Thank you for your courtesy! We appreciate it.
Guest access
Enjoy full access to the condo as well as common areas such as the pools, hot tub, sauna, steam room, fitness room, BBQ grill/picnic area and outside showers. Public restrooms and a public shower are located on the 2nd floor in the workout area for your convenience if you don't want to go back up to the condo just to use the restrooms. Both the pool entry and the workout room are keypad protected - you will need a code to enter them and we will provide you with the code before you visit. The same code works both doors.
Other things to note
Occasionally there is a programming bug from Air that states our condo is "14 min walk to the beach by Shrimp Fest" which is incorrect and they are working on fixing this. So please know we have a beautiful view and are right on the beach. So lovely.
Due to the cleaning company schedule, we are not able to offer late check out or early check in. Check out the public beach if you wish to spend that day at the beach. :)
