Set on a spectacular coastal hilltop in exclusive Cíbola del Mar, a safe, gated community only about 1 ½ hours south of San Diego, California and just 15 minutes from Ensenada and the Guadalupe Valley, The Baja House offers magnificent views of Ensenada Bay, with spacious gardens and patios. Wifi throughout makes an ideal place for those looking to work remotely. Our friendly adobe villa and artful interiors create a magical vacation space to relax and a home base to explore the region.

The space
Cibola del Mar is a quiet, residential coastal village with cobblestone streets, beautiful homes and spectacular views of the Ensenada Bay and Todos Santos Islands. The Baja House is far enough from Ensenada to have a rural tranquility, but close enough that restaurants, breweries, wineries, night life, coffee houses, fishing, surfing, swimming and hiking can be found ten to fifteen minutes away. Stay and relax (we even have two ocean view hammocks!) or use it as a home base as you explore the Guadalupe Valley (Mexico's wine country) and the micro-breweries and food treasures of Ensenada. Cibola del Mar overlooks San Miguel Village, a famous surf spot and outstanding breakfast restaurant. Horseback riding trips are available just a few minutes away and in-home therapeutic massage can also be arranged by appointment. We love creativity, diversity and hosting people from many different cultures. We are proudly LGBTQ friendly!

Guest access
GETTING HERE: Most guests arrive in their cars or use Uber or a taxi from the border. Once here, transportation services are available for travel to and from Ensenada and the Guadalupe Valley. A larger van may also be available if reserved in advance. I will provide GPS links for driving from the US border crossings at San Diego and Tecate. Plenty of free off-street parking available on the premises.
ONCE YOU'RE HERE: Guests have exclusive access to the main house and areas described in this listing. The host has a separate apartment-office adjacent to the house with private entry and private access to the shared bathroom.

Other things to note
The Baja House is not a loud party spot, out of respect for our neighbors. Loud amplified music, yelling and fireworks are strictly prohibited. Music and fireworks from event venues along the coast may sometimes be audible, especially on summer weekends.
If you would like to charge an electric vehicle during your stay, please contact the house manager first. Thanks!
