Comfy bed for better sleep

The room-darkening shades and extra bedding are loved by guests.
This luxury guesthouse was built to feature the beautiful, old growth pecan trees located on the property. The space is like your own private Boutique Hotel with great amenities, and an unbeatable location in a pocket neighborhood near downtown and the lakeside trail. At any given time, you can enjoy views of the local wildlife and native plants. It's a half mile walk from many famous Austin restaurants, coffee shops, breweries and nightlife.

The space
The second-story apartment, built atop a 1950's freestanding garage was designed and built by local architects Forsite Studio. The goal was to incorporate natural elements and honor the feeling of our historic East Cesar Chavez neighborhood. The space incorporates elements of the outdoors with downtown neighborhood living. Conveniently located near outdoor/dining/nightlife. You’re a short, half-mile walk from Lady Bird Lake Hike and Bike Trail, Whole Foods, East 6th and Rainey entertainment districts, not to mention all the other gems on Holly and Cesar Chavez Streets.

An inviting balcony has two types of native vines artfully climbing the structure surrounding the entry and balcony.

The interior has high end finishes throughout including marble coffee table, Eames molded chairs/rocker and dove grey leather Chesterfield sofa, and an opulent David Trubridge pendant lighting arrangement in the living area.

The bedroom features an opulent Conforma Cool Perfection queen mattress with 680 thread count Pima cotton sheets, Casper pillows and blackout curtains. Cedar walls in the bedroom, loft area and closet were sourced from the Texas hill country and milled by the homeowner.

The bathroom highlights a rainfall shower, sprayer, shower bench, vibrant Hygge and West wallpaper and Bedrosian tile work. A custom, wall mounted Robern LED edge lit mirror is the centerpiece of the vanity and provides great lighting. The entire bathroom, loft and kitchen get natural light through east-facing skylights. Full-sized LG washer and dryer are also available.

The kitchen area includes under-counter fridge and freezer with ice maker, Berkey freestanding water filtration system, small dishwasher, Technivorm Moccamaster coffee maker, Capresso Infinity Burr coffee grinder, with coffee beans/sweetner/creamer singles provided. A Sharp Steam Oven, dual burner hot plate with All-Clad pots and pans, and microwave are present to cook or reheat meals after nights out on the town.

Guest access
You'll have access to the second story of the Treehouse building (first floor is another Airbnb). There is a plush outdoor couch and table with chairs for working or enjoying coffee on the balcony, plus a yard area with native and tropical plants.

Other things to note
We charge additional $50/night for each guest over two. Please ensure your reservation request shows the correct number of guests.

There is a $50 key replacement fee.

The Treehouse is not suitable for children or infants.

Howdy! We built our first Airbnb on our personal property in 2020, and over the next few years I began to also manage for friends & neighbors as a full-time career. I've learned so much about hospitality and houses! I do my best to make sure guests have a great experience here in Austin, where I've called home since 2006. All the places I manage are in my neighborhood, so I'm biased that we have the best location in town!
