A true 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom duplex, about 1,500 sq ft, on the quietest block in the East Village. Minutes to Astor Place, SoHo, Lower East Side
I've lived here for years and I'm still in the neighborhood, so this is a real home that happens to be yours for the month. Brand new kitchen with grey shaker cabinets and quartz counters, fresh paint throughout, and a new living room sectional.
Two queen bedrooms, each with its own full bathroom. Great for two friends, two coworkers, or two couples.
The space
The kitchen is finished and came out beautiful - guests are already cooking in it and love it.
Upstairs: living room with vaulted ceilings, 65" TV with cable and wifi, dining table for four, a standing bar, the brand new kitchen, and a full bath with a tub. New sectional, love seat, and area rug in the living room.
Downstairs: two bedrooms, each with a queen bed, ceiling fan and air purifier, and a second full bath with a river rock walk-in shower and two shower heads. The main bedroom has a window. The second is interior, so it's dark and silent, which is exactly what you want at 2am. New floors, plenty of closet and dresser space, and linens and towels for four.
It's quiet. You will not hear the street when you sleep.
Shorter stays are case by case. Happy to talk it through before you book, just message me.

The whole apartment is yours, both floors, both baths, plus a leafy shared courtyard out back. Keypad self check-in, no keys to lose. I come by only if you ask.
Want to walk into a stocked fridge? Say the word before you arrive and I'll fill it. Need a table, tickets, or a last minute anything in the city? Ask me. Twelve years hosting here and I know the neighborhood.
Other things to note
Pre-war building, so it has character and a few quirks. The entrance is at street level with no steps. There is a staircase between the two floors the way old New York buildings are. Fine for adults and school-age kids, not the place for crawling babies or unsteady toddlers.
Cozy all year. The building keeps the heat on through the winter months, so the place stays warm when it's cold out. In summer, window AC units and ceiling fans in every bedroom cool it down fast. No washer in the unit, but there's a laundromat a few doors down and wash-and-fold that picks up and delivers.
Guests who treat the place like a home are always welcome back :)

The East Village at its best. Some of the city's favorite restaurants, cocktail bars, and coffee shops are right outside your door, with a deli on the corner and a pharmacy a block away. Four subway lines within a 5-minute walk put SoHo and Union Square about 15 minutes away and Midtown about 20. Everything you need, and everywhere you want to go, is easy from here.
