A short 1 hr. car ride from Mtl will bring you to the picturesque Eastern Townships. This beautiful little century home is located on 76 acres with a forest and meandering streams. The in-ground swimming pool is open from June till September (it's not heated). The house is bright, clean and has a comfy feel to it. It’s fully equipped kitchen, veranda, BBQ, and the campfire is quite the treat. Trails from the backyard will take you into the woods.

The space
*PLEASE, read the full description and our Cancellation Policy.
A very quiet area where you can take off on a long bike ride, walk, or simply take it easy in the summer and lounge in the pool area. The winter season offers cross-country skiing and snowshoeing right from the back porch. For down hill skier’s, we’re approximately 20 min drive to Mont Sutton and approximately 35 minute drive to Bromont.
A bright open style kitchen and living room with wood stove (wood is provided at no extra cost). A large master bedroom with a private bathroom (shower is only accessible from this master bedroom. There is no door to this bathroom.) and a powder room in the main living area. The second bedroom is also large and is on the upper floor (loft style, steep stairs). This is a country home on a gravel road, 10 minutes away from any stores.

Please note: There is no TV or radio in the cottage, this is a place to truly unplug and unwind. The cottage is located on a quiet country road, just 5 km from the charming village of Dunham. Some guests may find the setting remote, while others will find it a peaceful escape into nature.

You’ll have the entire home to yourself, no shared spaces, just you and the quiet of the countryside.

We do share the land with a few friendly hens and two roosters. Depending on the length of your stay, we may need to step out briefly to tend to them, always with care to respect your privacy and not disrupt your experience.

Guest access
We might need to go out to the back woods. We will reach this area by another entrance and not be bother to you.

Other things to note
***PLEASE TAKE NOTE
- Children are welcomed, but the house is not babyproof. The staircase to the upper floor (second bedroom) is quite steep.
- The pool is completely fenced in, but there are NO locks on the doors.
- We do not supply Kleenex nor paper towels. Yes we do supply you with toilet paper.
- High speed internet is not available in our immediate area. Country speed is what we have. In the evenings it can be intermediate as most residents can be using it at the same time.
- Again our roads are not paved and depending on the time of year you come the roads might be smooth or bumpy. This is totally out or our control.
- For winter stays, our home has 3 electric heaters, but the main source of heating the house is with the wood stove. Wood is supplied at no extra cost.
- Our home may not be a fancy top notch high end deluxe home, but it’s clean, spacious and comfortable.
- Bare in mind that we do live in the countryside, in the middle of nature. We share the land with a host of natural beings/creatures. Therefore, your experience here may or may not lead you to encounter any of the followings.
From the smallest to the biggest!
Ants, spiders, flies, mosquitoes, tics, black flies, ladybugs (there might be some in the house during the winter and spring season), bees, wasps, grasshoppers, slugs, spotted salamanders, butterflies, moths, dragonflies, mice, birds, skunks, raccoons, fox, wild turkeys, deers, bears etc...
If you are not comfortable with any of these natural beings/creatures, we suggest that you may want to book another home.
PS: we promise you that to date, no elephants or hippos have been seen roaming our countryside.
