2 Foliat Cottage has a wonderful history — originally built for the Whipper-in of the Rufford Hunt, it's been lovingly updated into a warm, welcoming family haven with everything you need to truly relax on our farm.
We've thought especially carefully about families with babies, toddlers and small children — so you can leave the boot-load of baby kit at home! 👶🌿

Parking is easy and stress-free in our enclosed shared parking area serving both cottages — perfect when you're unloading all that family kit! 🚗
We absolutely love sharing our little corner of Nottinghamshire with our guests — so please do pull on your wellies and explore!
We've put together a dedicated circular farm walk that's wonderful for little legs and big ones alike, soaking up the fresh air, wide open spaces and beautiful rural countryside that makes Jordan Castle Farm so very special. Keep an eye out for our Charolais cattle along the way! 🐄🌿

Jordan Castle Farm is a real, living, breathing working farm — and that's a huge part of what makes it such a magical place for families and little ones to experience! While it's typically wonderfully peaceful, you may occasionally hear the distant rumble of a tractor, the hum of machinery, or the gentle sounds of cattle going about their day. We think it all adds to the adventure — and the children usually love it! 🌿
Tucked alongside fields and ancient woodland, reached along our characterful limestone farm lane, the cottage sits in a truly natural, wildlife-rich setting — and nature here is absolutely thriving! You'll have a wonderful opportunity to spot all kinds of wonderful wildlife right from the cottage windows — a real bonus for curious young minds! 🦔🐦
We do need to mention one thing with a smile — our gorgeous countryside location means that spiders and insects are very much part of the landscape, and despite our very best efforts before every stay, they do occasionally fancy a look inside, especially through summer and autumn!
We absolutely love our little farm residents, but we completely understand that not everyone — and not every little one — feels quite the same way! If creepy crawlies are something your family would rather avoid entirely, this might not be the perfect spot for you — and we'd always rather you know that upfront! 🕷️🌿
