Castle vacation rentals in Great Britain

We could not be more pleased with our stay. The home was beautiful, and Takki was the perfect host. The location was central enough for plenty of fun days out within a short drive while still feeling private and peaceful when at the house. We spent each night playing board games with the kids surrounded by the beautiful autumn leaves and views of the water. We would definitely stay again if we adventure back to the area.

We had an amazing weekend here. The place is really clean and with lots of things to do like the pool table or hot tub. Bill was very helpful with everything from checking times to fixing problems. We would definitely come again.

A wonderful house in a beautiful village. Very peacfull and quiet during the day and night. The house is beautiful inside and out lovely fires great kitchen plenty of room large bedrooms and bathrooms. Really close to the many beaches with lots to do. Charlotte was a great host and would highly recommend if you want a peacful get away in the french countryside. Would definitely go back again.

This location was great! It had 2 bedrooms and a loft for sleeping. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The dishwasher was handy. The pool was fun for our entire family. The only downside was the stairs. We had enough people to help with our baby things so it wasn't a big deal just something to keep in mind. We would love to stay there again and we will also let our friends know about this wonderful place/village/experience!

We had a lovely stay at fort view, there were 4 adults and a baby and we had plenty of room for us all! We were close to areas such as bath and Bristol and used our days to visit these. The home was lovely and clean, with everything we needed, even a hot water bottle if we got cold and It was private even though there were other people staying in separate rentals. The floor was slightly thin so in the evenings could occasionally hear downstairs, they probably could hear us too! And we were looking forward to seeing the farm animals, however it wasn’t something that was available during our stay. Over all we would love to come back and definitely recommend to other family and friends! Thank you for a great stay.

Wow. What a beautiful castle and beautifully refurbished apartments. As soon as we walked into our apartment we were stunned, the space is huge and it’s so nicely decorated that we felt at home right away. The kitchen was fully equipped and we were given tea and coffee with some tea cakes which was sweet! The apartment was extremely clean and the bed is so comfortable. We also had a private tour of the castle which you can arrange and pay a fee. I highly recommend the tour! We thoroughly enjoyed it. Overall, we felt very privileged to be able to stay in such a unique place surrounded by the beautiful countryside and to be able to learn so much history. Thank you to the staff for being so friendly and helpful and thank you to the Maitland family for opening up your home and sharing its splendour!

Michael and Tracy's place was amazing, comfortable, spacious, warm. they were kind, friendly and hospitable. The local area is full of natural beauty just waiting to be explored. It could not have been better.

What an absolutely amazing place to stay! Beautiful surroundings and the castle is just gorgeous to look at. Being met on arrival and shown around, and things explained was a great help. The instruction book was also a great idea, which we used, so don’t ignore it as it was a good help. I’ve stayed in many places, over many years and I would have to say that this is one of THE best! The interior of our apartment was just lovely and very comfortable, especially the bed! I would love to come back one day, if I’m lucky enough to. Thank you for making our stay so pleasurable, it is much appreciated. 5 stars definitely!

Fantastic stay at Seacombe 7 of us plus a dog. A very comfortable house overall with very comfy beds and good linen, enough bathrooms to go round and well equipped in the kitchen. Lovely peaceful location with a pub over the road with plenty of walks and sights nearby. Thank you!

Accommodation delightful . Ceilings spectacular. Quriky layout of rooms. Excellent for holding a family party. Very good local chef who catered really well for our party. Interesting grounds and walks. All in all a lovely experience. Ken and Margaret Sinanan Kildare.

Unique experience for sure! I would love to stay there again

The property was exactly as described and surpassed our expectations. It was easy to find, the directions are spot on and Rose was very easy to communicate with. Early access was granted which was amazing. Every amenity listed was available and there was a lovely welcome tray with tea, coffee and biscuits waiting for us. We would love to book again, we loved the place. Thank you!

Great location and such a cool experience staying in the gatehouse. Will definitely come back. If you have young kids the sleeping arrangements require some compromise but we made it work. The interior could do with a touch up, it was looking a little tired but that’s me being picky. Great place to stay and free entry to the castle is well worth it

Pictures do not do this apartment justice! It was the last place we stayed before we went home and was easily the favorite of our group. The Palace is stunning and the apartment makes you feel like you're in a fairytale. I cannot recommendation this listing enough! Read all of the instructions sent to you from the host! I had a momentary minute of confusion when trying to check in, but it was completely my fault for not fully reading everything that was sent to me before we arrived. Once I read them, I had no issues finding the keys and apartment.

Needless to say, the location of this castle was amazing. The interior was beautifully decorated with lots of paintings and the bed is so comfortable. The house has everything required but it's a pity that the cafe closes during the 2 days that we were staying. Wished we had more time!

We booked this as something a little different for a memorable birthday celebration…it was certainly memorable! Such a unique, quirky place with very friendly hosts.

Words cannot describe how incredible this cottage is. With stunning views of the beach and Bamburgh castle from the snug to beautifully decorated interior. We absolutely loved staying at Eight Bells Cottage! Graeme and Grace are fantastic hosts, leaving clear instructions by air b&b chat and a little folder in the cottage with everything we needed to know, including restaurants and some amazing walks. You can really tell the love and proud ownership of this home. The cottage itself is so cosy and super clean! It really felt like home away from home, we settled right in and struggled to decide where to retire for our evenings as everywhere was super snuggly. The pictures don’t do this place justice, we absolutely loved our time here and so sad that we had to come home. We will definitely be making it a habit to return to Eight Bells Cottage.

The property lived up to its description which made it a unique experience for my husband’s special birthday. I wanted something different which is exactly what we got, the building has been tastefully restored to stay in keeping of its history yet with a few modern touches to make it a comfortable stay. We took advantage of the discount to visit Gwrych Castle which is highly recommended, to see the vast amount of work they have done and intend to do in the future is astounding. We also loved the woodland walk, in addition to exploring the caves exclusive to the property.

Pele Tower is a beautifully and lovingly restored building, and Ann and Andy have thought of pretty much everything. Every time we needed something, it was already there. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch and got us immediately set up for the week. The pictures are 100% representative and in fact don’t do it justice. Ann and Andy are absolutely lovely too. Had a lovely week working from Killington and exploring the area and would very much recommend.

A wonderful place to stay in the tower apartments. There are stairs to carry your bags up. Do communicate with the property manager as to when you will arrive. A beautiful place to stay.
