Monthly Rentals in Grandcamp-Maisy

We are always happy to rent Hélène's apartment for an extended weekend. The view of the harbor and sea from the living room and bedroom is simply wahou! The only downside of the WE is the lack of wind that prevents us from the apartment from hearing the noise of the boats in the port and the low coefficient of the tides, but for that our host is in no way responsible.... You can rent without a second thought.

A lovely stay in a fishing village townhouse. I miss it already! The kitchen is very user friendly and had everything I could ask for. Since my visit was in January, there were not many options to eat out. I went to the fresh food market that is held on Tuesdays, and bought wonderful food so that I could cook most my meals. The larger market is a 10 minute walk away. There is a butchery and of course a boulangerie all within a 5 minute walk. The bed was very comfortable and cozy. The bathroom was large compared to most other stays I have had in France. I did not have a car but I am a long distance runner/walker and it was my intent to walk most places I needed to go. The bus schedule in January is only once a day so probably best to have a car when staying here. There is a beautiful light gravel path out of Grandcamp that will take you to Pointe du Hoc and is about a 5km walk. You can go further if you like all the way to Omaha Beach and beyond. I look forward to returning.
