Get ready for the ultimate Thai designer getaway at the Governor’s Mansion – Phuket’s largest and most iconic Sino-Portuguese heritage home!

Nestled in the heart of Old Phuket Town, the 119-year-old Thai architectural jewel warmly welcomes you for the Thai New Year festivities.

The mansion is available to book at 8AM ICT on April 5, 2022 (9PM ET April 4) for a two-night stay from April 15-17, for four guests from Thailand OR any country that allows international travel to and from Thailand.

The space
The sprawling Governor’s Mansion was built in the early 1900s by successful local businessman Pra Pitak Chinpracha, and welcomed many out-of-town dignitaries. The neoclassical heritage mansion has been exquisitely restored to preserve its original fixtures, including richly patterned mosaic tiles and teakwood floors.

Drive through the mansion gates and the house will gradually come into view as you traverse a 100m long driveway flanked by lush fruit trees and orchids. Guests will have full access to the luxurious 3.6 acre property, which counts three separate wings and numerous patios overlooking an expansive lawn. The stay comes with your very own private butler on standby 24/7.

Upstairs, your private suite has been personally designed by Saran Yen Panya, a rising star in Thailand’s visual arts and design scene. Edgy statement pieces from six renowned Bangkok designers, along with delicate marble inlay woodwork from the island's most prominent homes and museums, adorn the living quarters.

The spacious living area includes a cozy lounge and TV on one side, and a grand sitting room on the other. Look out for the bespoke lotus pond centerpiece – specially handcrafted by a renowned Thai ceramicist who worked on Bangkok’s famous Temple of the Dawn, Wat Arun! As you wind down the evening, take your pick between the intricately furnished Lotus and Heritage Bedrooms. Both feature magnificent wrought iron four-poster beds and idyllic nooks to unwind with a pot of tea and a good book.

As part of your stay, you will enjoy a complimentary Songkran-inspired chef’s dinner and two complimentary Airbnb Experiences: a scuba diving and snorkeling adventure around the sparkling reefs and islands that dot the Andaman Sea, and a gibbon rehabilitation experience in Phuket’s last rainforest, Khao Pra Taew Wildlife Sanctuary.

Programming for the stay is supported by the Tourism Authority of Thailand.

Guest access
The entrance to the mansion includes three short steps up from the driveway to the reception. There is also a teakwood staircase of approximately twenty steps leading up from the first floor to your private quarters on the second floor. Guests with specific accessibility needs are invited to contact the Hosts for more information.
