Monthly Rentals in Goat Island

We stayed here over new years to experience sydney new years celebrations without the hassle. The airbnb is great, clean, and comfortable. What made our stay even better was Mike who offered us chairs, icepack, and a picnic blanket for new year's eve to sit and watch the fireworks in a local park. We had a great time and sat for eight hours and enjoyed the celebrations. Considering the area (great restaurants and pubs), the date we were there and the ease of getting into the cbd with just a 10 min ferry drive this place is worth the money and we would stay again. The view and the location from Harbourside are absolutely amazing. Getting around with the ferry was very convenient and overall a great place. There is even Saturday night fireworks in the harbour. The sofa bed is a great quality and the kids slept pretty good. I loved finally having a dishwasher on our trip. However I hadn’t realized there was no oven so we had to cook all stovetop or bbq. Not an issue, just something I missed myself on the pics.

An excellent stay in this light filled and cleverly designed unit. Split level gives separation of sleeping and living while the mezzanine bedroom cleverly utilises the light from the generous windows. Loved small thoughtful details such as: face cloths, tea, sharp knives, chopping boards, great dishwasher. Balmain is a fab neighborhood and this unit is in a great location. Pop down to the water within five minutes to stroll the dock or exercise in the local parks. Quiet lane, no traffic noise

I feel like Carolyn and John's place is the kind of place - and they are the kind of people - who exemplify the whole idea of AirBnB being someone's home, not a corporate venture, as AirBnB sometimes has become. The apartment is fantastic. It's fully self contained. It would make a great home. Excellent value. There's a good cafe down the street. A longer walk down Darling Street will bring you some more cafes and restaurants. The East Village pub is just up the road as well. It's a 10 minute walk down the hill to the ferry terminal, which will take you to Circular Quay or Barangaroo and and/or over the harbour to Luna Park and McMahons Point. If you want the bus instead the 442 will take you into town. We enjoyed a bottle of wine while sitting on the verandah, the Bridge peaking through the (I think) grevilleas. John was there to meet us and show us around, and Carolyn popped in the night before we left. They are both lovely people. I can't recommend this place highly enough.
