Our cozy cottage now sits on hundreds of acres of ancient trees and emerging forest on a dry lake bottom with a picturesque river running through it. You & your family/friends will love your stay in this cozy upgraded cottage with an enormous deck & sunset views like no other.

The cottage sits at the highest point on the river, with a deck & fire pit overlooking the river providing a breath taking view from sunrise to sunset! Theres a cozy loft for sleeping, and a sun room where you can relax and read all day long. 1/2mile away you have access to 100s of miles of trails for hiking and ATVs. Within a 45 minute drive you have Houghton Lake, smaller lakes, splash pads and casinos, something for the whole family.

Quiet Getaway

Quiet vacation home on Wixom Lake. While the lake is gone at the moment, it’s still a nice get away location. Large side yard for parking or tents. A fire pit in the yard for a relaxing evening. The house has three bedrooms, including a double bunk bed in one room and a master suite & central heat/ac A recent addition of a garage, entryway and loft have changed the look of the place. Contact us about adding the garage space to your rental. All the amenities of home are available for use.

Northern Retreat-hot tub-pool table-arcade- darts

Enjoy this beautiful retreat that will provide you a peaceful getaway. Our home sits on one of the “fingers” of Wixom Lake and currently has a small stream running through (not accessible). If you're not familiar with this area the dams failed in 2020 but there is still a ton to enjoy on the property and the surrounding area. The home features 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths, rec room with a pool table, dart board, bar, tv, BBQ grill & hot tub. Enjoy this wonderful place while the rates are low.

Enjoy stunning views of Tittabawassee River! 3 bedrooms (1 king & 2 queen beds) and a set of bunk beds in the sunroom, sleeps 8. 2 full baths. Finished garage/game room, gazebo, fire pit and gas log fireplace. Close to 5 area wedding venues! Easy access off M-61 on a paved road. Currently we enjoy the natural flow of the Tittabawassee River but please note that there no good access point to get on/in the water. Restoration of the dam creating the lake is estimated to be complete in 2026.

"Rustic” cabin on main part of Secord Lake. Swimming & Kayaking only. Two Kayaks are available for you to use. Beautiful view overlooking the water. Amazing sunsets. Peaceful mornings. Large windows to enjoy the view from inside. Indoor bathroom with an outside shower. (No inside shower or tub) Two beds in the loft. Eat inside or outside- Picnic table and patio set with 4 chairs. Firepit area near beach with camp chairs. Quiet, peaceful, relaxing. It was brown/blue - now it is green.

Lakeview cabin and guest house with full access to all sports Elk Lake with large space to tie off pontoon, jet skies or boat. Free access to kayak. Fire pit with beautiful view of Elk Lake. Plenty of sleeping space so this cabin is perfect for large families as well as hunting/fishing groups or girls/ boys weekends! Game room with pool table, shuffle board, darts and bubble hockey attached to guest house. Walking distance to Elk Lake Bar (very good food and atmosphere)!

Peaceful Waterfront Cabin on Tittabawassee River!

We had such a wonderful weekend staying here! The cabin was spotless, had everything we needed, and we enjoyed being close to the ORV/ATV trails! There’s a newly renovated mercantile store within a very short walking distance of the cabin; we enjoyed going there for hand scooped ice cream! The Smith’s have done an outstanding job to make this cabin feel like home! We brought our senior dog along for the trip and he LOVED the cabin as well as the yard! The driveway was big enough for our truck, trailer and two ATVs. The neighbors and locals are extremely friendly! A highlight for us was playing table shuffleboard every night! I really can’t say enough about this place! We can’t wait to come back!!

This is my group’s second time at The Point House, and it was another great experience! We did choose a windy weekend both times, and the ample social space inside made entertainment easy even as the gale closed some nearby roads with downed trees and lines! If we’re in the area again in the future, I suspect we’ll stay once more!

Needed a little getaway for my birthday and found Virginia’s place. It’s totally adorable and I love the bunkhouse for extra privacy! Beautiful place at a great price with a responsive and attentive host! Would definitely recommend especially in the summer.
