This place is a GEM!! The room at the Inn had fantastic vintage charm, was very clean, and Melinda is so kind and helpful! She was able to accommodate us having our doggie, and there was a small lawn behind the inn perfect for quick walks. The room is right above the basement bar which hosts live music, so to folks looking to go to bed early on the weekends, know that the bar speakers are directly beneath the bedroom. We went down to the bar Friday evening and had a super fun night chatting with the local regulars, the musicians, and awesome bartender! It was the singer's birthday and they passed out shots and cupcakes, overall a great time and we would love to come back!

Had an awesome time hiking the Bear Creek trail and coming back down and relaxing and being Groovy at the Nomad! It was a wonderful experience and even role played a little because when you walk into the Groovy it’s like walking back in time! Melissa was Great at the very beginning and was very responsive with all our needs! We will be back for sure to check out the rest of the place!

Beautiful old home. Room was very cozy and had everything we needed for a wonderful night. Melinda was very responsive and helpful. Made us feel right at home. Loved hanging out in the Fox's Lair. Everyone was so nice and fun to talk to. Music was amazing. Thanks for a great time. We will definitely return.

Jamie and Sarah were exceptional host. I initially stayed for one night and Sarah switched my room because the tv didn’t work or either I didn’t know what was I doing. Whatever was the case she was very willing to make the change. I came back a few days later and it was a perfect stay. I can honestly say it’s rare that I get a good night sleep in a strange place but I slept like a baby which I couldn’t believe. It was extremely quiet which I loved. There was a Mexican Restaurant (El Paso I believe) that technically I could have walked to. The food was good with a fun atmosphere. It was Taco Tuesday which also was karaoke night with DJ Skittles he was really fun. I had an issue one night with the shower and I wound up taking a cold shower. When I mentioned to Sarah what happened she apologized but there were instructions on how to position the shower handle which I hadn’t seen so user error. In closing, I had a very good stay and I absolutely recommend you stay here if visiting the area

Cannot say enough good things about this stay! We told them at check in that we were celebrating our anniversary of getting engaged in Dahlonega last year and they called two minutes later to upgrade us to an available private suite with the most incredible view of the mountains. The staff was incredible and it was the most dreamy stay. All other amenities were fantastic too! Thank you and we will be coming back and telling all our friends:)

The entire staff at Barefoot hills provided amazing hospitality throughout our stay. From the moment we arrived they ensured our check-in was a smooth transition providing a video of how to access the cabin. A wagon and umbrella were provided to assist carrying our luggage due to the bad weather we encountered. The cabin, rooms, and bathrooms were very clean. I especially love the accommodations provided due to my severe health issues. The views from the two-bedroom cabin are amazing. Dahlonega is a beautiful town and the people are amazing. I hope to return again with my family in the near future. Thank you for sharing this wonderful place with us!

This place is very nice and quiet and close to nearby restaurants/shops. It's very cozy and have that country/ log cabin feel. The host Dan was extra helpful and went above and beyond to accommodate us and there was no problem with late check-in, in case you got in some kinda of traffic jam, etc. He and his wife offered to help with anything they could. Wonderful southern hospitality. We wished we stayed longer. My family loved that place and we plan to rent it again in the future. AA+ P.S.We only went to eat at the "Waffle King" place near by and the folks there were very sweet and welcoming too. Good vibes all around!

Overall a great place to stay. The cabin was clean and cute while check in was a breeze. The reception was nice and we had no issues throughout our stay. Our dog loved the area too, although we couldn’t find the small trail around the property. Would stay again!

It is a hotel room in the woods and was super cool. The room was cozy and private and the bed was very comfortable! Really as advertised.

Glad I finally got to stay here! Much-needed quick getaway, and the eco-cabin was perfect. The sound of the rain on the metal roof was the icing on the cake. :)
