We had the most amazing Christmas family getaway at the Lake Escape. It was a picture perfect winter escape for the holidays. Luis was always responsive to any queries and helpful with suggestions. Highly recommend this place. Would love to return in the fall to see the beautiful autumn colours. 5 Star for sure

Our family group, 4 adults and 1 seven-year-old child, stayed for six nights in July at Serene Lakefront Haven in Val-des-Monts, Quebec. We were looking for a well-equipped home by a beautiful, quiet swimmable lake not too far from our own home in Ottawa. Nadine's place was perfect for us. The lake was surrounded by tall trees and not very deep, which was excellent for our young swimmer. Motor boats were not allowed on it, so peace reigned day and night, and a number of boats were available for us to use. Everybody, young and old (from 7 to 74) enjoyed the lake. Outside there was also a trampoline! The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to prepare our meals. In addition, there were games and toys for all ages, and the television came with Netflix, Disney Plus, and a variety of DVDs. The house was clean when we arrived and the house manual provided accurate, useful information. Nadine answered all questions promptly and thoroughly. Five stars --- well-deserved!

The wooden deck provides ample space for enjoying the picturesque surroundings, and the snow-covered fire pit hints at cozy evenings spent outdoors. The views of the frozen lake are breathtaking, especially during sunrise or sunset, as seen through the large windows and from the deck. The warm sunlight reflecting on the snow adds to the tranquil ambiance, making it a perfect spot for relaxation. If you love winter scenery and a quiet, well-maintained space, this is a great choice for your next getaway. It’s an ideal location for couples, families, or solo travelers looking to unwind and enjoy nature’s beauty.

The Ravin Cliff cabin was the most beautiful and relaxing place for a weekend getaway. The finishing touches of the furniture and decor made everything feel very cohesive. Don’t hesitate, please book this place! You will not be disappointed. We’ll be back again soon!!

We had a great time at Andrew’s cottage. The place is lovely and super clean. Andrew’s instructions to reach the cottage were very useful and clear. We spent all the daylight hours in the backyard by the river - what an amazing space - so many different options for just sitting around!! My whole family loved kayaking in the river (current is not strong) - kayaks, paddles and life jackets (even kids size) were provided. Our 5 year old loved the trampoline. Sunsets were spectacular. The cottage itself is super comfortable, very clean, comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. The living area has a large picture window - perfect to sit by, sip a hot drink and watch the geese on the river when it is still cold to be outside. Overall great stay and would love to come back for a longer duration.

We had an amazing time at Pete’s. The location was perfect, we had our own private beach. The kids enjoyed the provided kayaks and water toys. Our dogs lived in the water for 7 days. The house is much bigger than it appears in photos, and has ample room for a large family or group.

Jane’s cabin was perfect for our family getaway! We enjoyed the view of the water and taking long dog walks in the bush. Sitting in front of the log fire with my coffee was my favourite thing. Jane was very responsive and helpful letting us check in early. We highly recommend Jane’s cabin. We had a fabulous stay.

We spent a week at this cottage in January. The good: -very comfortable beds -very clean -well stocked kitchen where we could do all of our cooking -espresso machine -many different areas to hang out: the living room, the dining room table, the downstairs 'tv area,' the porch -poker table and dart board were fun (downstairs) -beautiful view -porch area was my favourite - unheated but the wood stove warmed it up and made for an amazing place to hang out at night. Could be better: -we didn't need the bunkie, but had we needed it, we would have been unhappy. It smelled AWFUL! I thought an animal had died in the woods when I walked past it. Walking in, we all almost fell over with the stench. Apparently it was recently moved/perhaps plumbing isn't connected (?). Unusable as is currently. -the duvet was too hot! Needed to open the window not to cook as I slept -porch should have a CO detector (wood stove) -record player didn't work Summary: very expensive, but we were very happy!

the pictures didn't do the place justice! booked last minute and was very pleasantly surprised with Laura's place and it was the perfect place to unwind and relax for the weekend. everything was very clean and there were so many spaces throughout the house to hang out. kitchen and bathrooms were very clean and well equipped.

Had an amazing stay! The view is absolutely breathtaking, and the place was super peaceful and cozy. Perfect spot to just chill and unwind. Definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway with some incredible scenery. Erica is a great host!

The unit is as described in the listing. Chris' instructions were very clear and he was very responsive when we had questions. Good location for peace and quiet. Not to far from some great winter activities. Great games room! Highly recommend.

Jessica's place is absolutely mesmerizing. the main room and bedrooms are like the place you see in a movie. the place was spotless clean and the place was equipped with everything you can ask for. communicating with Jessica was super easy. she's very responsive and the instructions for check in and check both through the App and at the location are crystal clear. Our long weekend at this charming cottage was nothing short of magical. Tucked away in a serene and tranquil location, the peaceful ambiance was a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The cottage itself exuded warmth and character, adorned with delightful local decorations that truly captured the essence of the area. It felt like a home away from home, with every corner telling a unique story. One of the highlights was undoubtedly the picturesque view of the lake right in front of the cottage. Waking up to the gentle sounds of nature and the sight of the tranquil waters was a truly enchanting experience. But what truly set this experience apart was the host. From the moment we arrived, they went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of perfect. Their responsiveness, kindness, and genuine hospitality made us feel incredibly welcome and valued.

Our stay was perfect, from the moment we arrived we felt at home. Ben and Roxanne were proactive in communicating with us and ensured our stay went smooth. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed as well as the indoor and outdoor fire place / pit. Ben sent clear instructions that were easy to follow and assured us that if we had any questions he was available to assist. The ambiance at the chalet was exactly what we needed for the perfect restful weekend. Would highly recommend this place!

Stayed 3 nights here whilst touring US/CAN for fall. 40mins from Ottawa and a couple of hours from Montreal, it was a perfect location for us. The cabin and lake was so peaceful and pretty during our stay and great for the dog. Would happily stay here again or recommend for anyone doing the same! Merci Michel et Helene!!

My boyfriend and I went on a new years getaway for 4 days with our 2 dogs. This peaceful cabin was exactly what we were looking for! loved it thank you so much for the stay !

Robin did a great job with the cabin. Private and cozy, the style of the rooms was perfect. The cabin is facing a large, beautiful lake with the sun coming out from behind the mountains every morning. I couldn't have asked for a better place to spend a few wintry days. The wood fireplace is a great addition and made the cabin feel like home. I recommend.

I stayed here with my fiancé for a full week and we loved every bit of it. The place was very clean and has everything we were looking for. The location was great, we had a river in the back with beautiful views. This honestly has been our favourite cottage we’ve been to so far and we will definitely come back in the summer. Thank you for an amazing stay!

A great place for us to resort to and recharge as we visited family in the surrounding area.

Michel and Hélène were very nice and welcoming, and they were quick to answer our questions. We rented their cottage for our wedding and the place was even better than expected, especially because there was an arch where we celebrated the ceremony and we hadn't seen it in the photos, so it was a pleasant surprise! Hosts even met us before our stay to show us around the site. They also lent us several furniture and decorations, which was greatly appreciated. In short, we enjoyed our stay immensely and we highly recommend choosing Michel and Hélène as hosts!
