Cottage vacation rentals in Forest Lake

Five of us Moms took to long weekend at Luke’s to relax, read, craft and drink wine! Luke’s was perfect. Quiet, lots of cozy spaces, every room had a white noise machine and the kitchen was well appointed. We LOVED the hot tub and Sauna as well. While I didn’t travel with my child, I could tell this place was great for hosting a baby/toddler as well. I noticed lots of kids plates/cups, a high chair and pack and play! All great if you’re traveling with kids! We had an amazing time and may make this our yearly tradition!

This was a beautiful location and a sweet little house to stay in. We had a blast and loved being able to walk to the beach.

My sister and I stayed with our kids! Wonderful clean and comfortable place! Great and friendly people! Many helpful amenities for our families! A great view of the lake from many parts of the home, We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!

Had an amazing stay! We booked this place for my friend’s bachelorette party and it was absolutely perfect. The location was great, and the house itself was beautiful. It was exactly what we needed for a fun weekend. Nathan was kind enough to let us check in a little early so we could get everything set up for the party, which made a huge difference. We were able to surprise the rest of the crew with the decorations and have everything ready to go. I’d love to come back if I’m ever planning something in Stillwater again! I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone :) Thank you!!

We now stay at this cozy cottage yearly for a family, mother/daughter trip. My husband and I are also interested in staying for our own romantic get away sometime. It is the perfect blend of city perks combined with a wooded, lake view natural environment. We also loved enjoying the huge hot tub outside right in the middle of winter. It was a joy all around that we can’t wait to enjoy again and keep recommending!

Nathan’s place was great! It’s walkable to downtown Stillwater, and the home itself is funky and fun. Nathan was a kind and responsive host, and he accommodated our needs well. Definitely worth the stay. Thank you!

Some friends and I stayed at Jessica’s cottage for our annual reading retreat. The space was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. It is the perfect mix of feeling cozy with plenty of space and a gorgeous view of the lake. Jessica was a great host and communicative. Whether coming together for a weekend with friends or spending a week with family, I’d definitely consider Jessica’s place again!

Perfect little cottage for a couple and a friend to stay in while we attended a memorial celebration of life for a friend who lived nearby. Love the neighborhood -- walking along Lake Harriet, the rose garden and bird sanctuary, nearby restaurants, and the patisserie, which is perfect for breakfast -- all so close. The cottage is simple but comfortable and Sarah is very helpful and flexible, which we appreciated. Must be able to go up and down stairs.

Very cute interior; lots of extra supplies in case we forgot anything. Loved the bathroom!! Quiet; beds were comfortable & nice to have 2 TV’s as my husband & I have different tastes. The only tiny negative is the yard - not really any grassy area for our little dog, but she didn’t mind walking down the block.

Nice for a cabin getaway! Very responsive and accommodating host. It is an updated home great for all seasons that is both kid and dog friendly, would recommend.

What a gem of a cottage . We’ve had the unfortunate task of needing to move out of our home whilst urgent repairs were undertaken, We searched and discovered Carly’s lovely home that was such a blessing especially with our 3 month old baby and beloved cat . The home has everything and made us forget about our issues with our place , so sad to leave but we will be back in the summer . Carly was absolutely stunning and very accommodating to our needs and besides her being an amazing human being, she has a secret weapon in her folks who assisted us and made us feel so homely and welcome . Sincere thanks Carly ! Your home is better than a 5 star hotel !

Jordan's place was wonderful. Resting on a quiet bay of the lake it was hard to realize one was even in town. Our group was very impressed with the location, quality, attention to detail and wonderful gathering areas the property offers. Would easily reserve again. l personally loved sitting in the gazebo during a beautiful rain.

A great cozy cabin that provided a wonderful family retreat. Quiet and peaceful. In the countryside but with a huge kitchen and wifi and TV, so not "roughing it" at all. Huge picture window with a great view. Half an hour to the Ellsworth Creamery for homemade cheese curds and other goodies. It was really roomy for our multigenerational family to spread out. Would come back again.

Sere was a great host! We had to travel in/out of MSP each day but this was close enough for us still have a quiet place where we could take our dogs for long walks and enjoy a quiet evening with our kids playing board games. Lots of trails and hiking available. We weren’t able to take advantage of the trout fishing but think it would be a great way to spend a weekend!

Our time at Rachel and Jacob’s cabin was as advertised…a comfortable cabin with clean rooms, all listed amenities and a quiet location for our time in MN. The frozen lake complete with fish houses and other winter activities was enjoyable to watch and we hope to return to participate in the summer offerings sometime in the future. J&J

It was a very nice stay, had a little trouble with Wifi but they were very responsive! Gave great recommendations about stuff to do around town.

Adorable home, pictures don’t do the decor justice. Great view waking up to the lake. Had plenty of kitchen supplies so you don’t have to buy all the basics if you’re cooking. Neighborhood was nice, we went for a run in the morning. Reccommend this cute spot!

Connie's place was exactly what we were looking for: clean, quiet, attractive and conveniently located. My family and I enjoyed the view of the lake and walking the nearby trails. My grandson got a lot of use out of the games and toys. We were able to cook our meals in the fully stocked kitchen. We appreciated the ease of check-in and Connie's responsiveness. Highly recommend!

It was like speaking the weekend at grandma’s house. My mom loved the bedroom and all the antique furniture.

We loved staying in the St. Francis Cottage! It was so peaceful - we enjoyed both the indoor fireplace and outdoor fire pit. We jad everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The grounds are great for walking and enjoying nature and it was a very short drive to scenic overlooks and downtown Stillwater. It was a perfect getaway!
