This place is actually beautiful really a home from home place. We stayed at Birch lodge which was so warm and welcoming. Your surrounded by the sounds of nature day and night, which is very peaceful and serene. The hot tub is an added touch, where you can gaze at the stars whilst the bubbles surround you. I really valued the privacy of each lodge, which backs onto a nice green area at the back. Ian was most accmodating, awnsering any questions we had, but they made sure they answered most questions through the instructions that was left for us. Thoughtful. Sad to be leaving but Upthorpe Lodges will deffo see us again, when we want to escape the hustle and bustle of London, and connect with nature.

A lovely little cottage in a lovely street within walking distance of the town and quay. Was exactly as described and host went above and beyond expectations. It is small but meets our requirements. Just be aware that it is right outside an old style Jewsons builders yard but this did not affect our stay. Parking is however a bit tight but we managed to find a space not too far away. Highly recommend for the price you pay. Lovely host and location.

A little piece of magic in a tranquil setting, the location is perfect for beach walks and the hut is gorgeous and cosy when the fire is lit and movie on the projector - perfect stay - just felt our shoulders drop 2 inches after being there for 24 hours. highly recommend and the owners are so friendly and helpful. We will be back 🙏🏼

Wanted a couple of days away in a peaceful and tranquil setting and found exactly what I needed in Lisa's stunning cottage and location! The place is truly magical with an amazing garden, plenty of fields and just pure nature surrounding you whilst you enjoy this gorgeous cottage. Lisa was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble...not even when I had a little difficulty in finding the place...she came to meet me! The cottage was very clean and tidy (something I value greatly), it was very peaceful indeed and as an extra bonus I was able to sit outside (morning and evening) enjoying a meal, a drink etc. in the sunshine as the weather was just perfect for the duration of my stay. Lots of wonderful little gestures left by Lisa inside the cottage made it extra special, and the cottage contained everything I needed. The cottage's location provided a perfect base for exploration of both local sites as well as locations of interest further afield. Elsa R

We wanted a relaxing weekend on the Suffolk coast and staying at Ralph and Oliver’s cottage delivered and more. From the local information provided by Ralph to the cottage being even better than the description I cannot recommend this enough. Lots of walking, great local food and the log burner to round off each day. Will certainly return.

A gem of a place. Just as described. Only negatives for us, no toilet on ground floor, living room a bit small for 5 adults and one child, perfect if you have less adults,. Bedrooms good sizes for all three. Kitchen extremely well equipped, even for cooking. Christmas dinner. Very good location for seafront, shops, and very easy to find. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

This house is very clean and modern. With a well equipped kitchen. The ensuite makes it perfect if sharing with friends. Plus a downstairs loo. It is a ten minute walk to the beach which has a nice cafe . The pub was a ten minute walk the other way. Serving food. The garden is big and very private with furniture and a small BBQ. A very nice two night stay.

We had a fantastic stay at this lovely Airbnb near Lavenham. The house was spotless, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. We especially enjoyed making use of the tennis court during the day and winding down by the fireplace in the evenings. A peaceful, well-kept spot that we’d definitely recommend!
