We stayed at the Shearer's quarters for 3 nights as a family of 5 (toddler, 5yo, me & my husband & my father in law). We had a lovely warm welcome from the hosts & the place felt really cosy & ready for our stay. The kitchen is compact but really well stocked, there are 2 fridges & having some fresh eggs was a lovely touch. The outdoor area is excellent, with a really lovely seating area & a covered area with bbq, fire pit & outdoor toys. Our kids loved watching the farm dogs & chatting with the cows & sheep. Such a great place to unwind! We spent some time down at Motunau beach & on the weka railway but the highlight was being shown around the farm by Richard. Excellent all round

Wonderful, peaceful stay in a charming, very clean and tidy cottage. Recommended for those seeking a break from all things digital. Had we had more time, we would have asked for a tour around the farm as was offered. Thank you

Gabriella is a generous host. She has thought about every need and provided for it. We loved the welcoming holiday feel of the attractive blue and white beach theme inside and the garden with its outdoor bath and shower. Great to be able to walk to the beach and then come home for a delicious Nespresso coffee. Great fish and chips down the road and tomato sauce provided in the fridge of the well equipped kitchen. Everything we needed to know was clearly set out in the guest manual, and Gabriella responded quickly to any additional requests. A perfect place for a beach holiday.
