Absolutely gorgeous location right across the bay from Skye. Numerous wonderful walks from the house and in the nearby valley. Local shop and pub in walking distance. House is as described. If youre looking for luxuries or that squeaky clean finish, this probably isnt for you but if you are happy with a warm, cosy base with all the necessities you will enjoy your stay here. Very much like staying at your elderly grandmothers! If you are picky about your linens, i would recommend bringing your own towels or sheets but there are plenty provided. Murdoch is extremely warm and friendly and offers a myriad of information about the house and local area making it very easy to enjoy your stay and find the things that interest you. BEST HOSTS EVER, I had a really really wonderful and sweet reception and Lesley took good care of me the whole time. The cabin was exactly what I’d hoped, peaceful, private, an amazing view, clean and spacious but still cozy, with a great wood stove that I used every day. Walkable distance to the village with a charming wooded footpath, and gorgeous sunsets over the mountains. It really is a cabin with a view, and it’s a great place for anyone looking to get away from the city and reconnect with nature. I cannot recommend this place enough!!

Comfy and lovely pod to stay. A little bit cold in winter but we bring electric with us so no problem.
