Vacation rentals with lake access in English Channel

This was our second stay. Everything was as nice as we remembered from our first visit. The flat is spacious and well-appointed, the location is private and quiet, and the hosts are friendly and responsive. What more could you ask for in an AirBnB?

What a treat! It is absolutely beautiful here! It feels like you’re stepping into a movie. We loved walking around and looking at the grounds and I wish we had more time to go on all of the trails and paths that were mapped out for us. We felt right at home immediately and I can’t state enough how beautiful this space is. The beds are very comfortable and the only sounds you hear are birds chirping.

We were delighted with the house. The property's park is beautiful, well maintained, it offers a very peaceful environment close to Rennes or the exhibition center. There are beautiful animals, especially ponies that come to see newcomers. The owner was very responsive and contributed to the success of our brief stay. Thank you. We highly recommend this property.

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage is very nice, clean and fully furnished. The garden is wonderful and well fenced so that our dog could also sniff and play freely. We felt at home and were sad to leave again.

A delightful beach cabin experience. I booked this beautiful home for a recent girls trip. Sofia allowed us to get access early as several of us had come on overnight flights. The home is easily locatable and perfectly situated. We spent four nights, enjoying long dinners at the dining room table, sitting on the back deck, enjoying the stunning view and sleeping peacefully in the lovely bedroom. Sofia was responsive throughout our visit, and even let us check out a little bit later than planned so we could further enjoy the beach. note that this is a very low tide beach. If you’re hoping to swim, you will likely need to go to another part of the beach. The water is ankle deep goes out at that level for a very long way. The kitchen is very well appointed, the beds are super comfortable. I am a stickler for having decent hot water for a nice bath, and that was not a problem at all. Thank you so much to Sofia and her partner. We look forward ved every minute.

Lovely home, spacious, modern, clean, and well equipped. Easy to find and Suzanne provides clear instructions and recommendations. Good parking. We used it as a base for a wedding at Stockbridge Farm Barn which is only a couple of minutes drive or under 20 minutes to walk. There is lots to do in the area (we visited Montacute House 25 mins away by car), and there are some nice walks from the house.

The location of this accommodation is perfect for discovering the bay of Mont Saint Michel. The house and large garden are very well maintained. Everything was perfect, we didn't miss anything. Dominique is a very friendly, pleasant and helpful host. She told us about the surroundings very quickly, and gave us all the information we needed before and during our stay. Very attentive to our needs. We thank Dominique very much for her hospitality and all her small touches that made our stay unforgettable. We felt right at home and our exchanges were very friendly. We'll be happy to go back!

An absolutely awesome stay!!! The place is simply beautiful: a peaceful castle, surrounded by a superb natural setting, perfect for relaxing and unwinding. Carole is an exceptional, warm, available and always helpful host. You can really count on her when you need her. Frankly, everything was there for an unforgettable time. I recommend it 100%, it's a really unique and very pleasant experience. Thanks again Carole!

We had a great time. The property is beautiful and close to places to visit in the Broceliande forest. The apartment is very well decorated and pleasant to stay in.

Great stay, like home, in Thiphanie's studio. A breathtaking view of the ocean, with seagulls, swallows flying by the window; total disconnection! One downside, don't come with too much luggage, because the 4 floors to climb on foot is a little difficult! Parking in the city is relatively easy. I highly recommend it. 😀

Accommodation booked for one night with a very good welcome from Odile and her husband. The accommodation is faithful to the description with little touches that make the difference (small treats, jams, orange juice, etc.) Impeccable and very well-equipped accommodation as well as comfortable bedding +++ the spa bath a real little plus with a bathroom also very well equipped (hair dryer and straightener). pleasant stay in this beautiful apartment with stunning views of the lake. we would definitely recommend this place.

We had a lovely time staying at the Sail Loft. It was beautiful and tidy, it felt very homey. Jen’s instructions on how to arrive were very helpful and check in was easy :) From the accommodation you can see a beautiful lake, located just across the road. In the sail loft there was everything you could need to cook, clean and relax! Thanks for having us Jen :)

We had a lovely stay at Gardeners Cottage which was clean, warm and cosy. A very comfortable bed with fresh linen and towels. Set in very peaceful surroundings and my grandson loved visiting the chickens. The cottage contained everything that was needed for a comfortable stay including dishwasher and washing machine. We didn’t have the best weather during our stay so it was lovely to come back to the cottage which was warm and cosy to relax in. Being Dog friendly was the icing on the cake A lovely time was had by all

Lovely little cottage with a secure garden. The village has a fantastic little shop for everything you need and a very friendly village pub with great food.

This is a truly lovely spot. The barn is spotless and comfortable and had everything we needed. Sophie's care package of breakfast items - milk, eggs, bread, cereal, juice - was most welcome. The barn is within a secure gated plot, and delightfully peaceful: ducks on the lake, deer, alpacas, all as stated, yet only 10 minutes drive on easy roads from central Chichester. Other destinations within easy reach include the Weald and Downland (Repair Shop) museum, Goodwood, and Bosham village. If returning to the area we'd hope to stay here again.

Sandra is an excellent host from her communication to all the little extras at the house. The bed was super comfy, fluffy towels and cosy throws in the lounge. Thank you very much for the wine and milk, and things like tea/coffee, porridge and shower gel etc made it a home from home stay. We loved the area and would definitely return. 100% recommendation from us both. 😊

This is our second stay at Lakeside Barn and again it lived up to our expectations. Such a beautiful place with peaceful surroundings. Anna and George are the perfect hosts and I would have no hesitation in recommending the barn.

The location was great - Camber Sands beautiful beach is less than 10 mins walk away. The nearest town, Rye, is a few mins drive - it is picturesque with lots to see and some pretty, independent shops and nice restaurants. The accommodation was one of the best I’ve rented on Airbnb. It was comfortable, tastefully decorated, exceptionally clean and tidy, and spacious. Everything worked, it was well equipped, and the view out over the fields at the back of the property was awesome. The hosts were great too - proactive, welcoming, responsive and easy-going. Clearly experienced and considerate of what people are looking for from their stay. Overall 10/10 and I might go back!!

Fantastic place to stay and we’d definitely stay here again. Very clean and well stocked with amenities. The barn is on a farm which itself is lovely. Sheep and horses very friendly, as was Andrew :-).

Beautiful cottage in a lovely location, the place was very clean & specious with everything all ready for us when we arrived. Me and my friends really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this to anyone. Thank you x
