A wonderful location, high in the mountains. We had a great view. High ceilings, lots of windows, nice curtains, wrap around balcony, it was just amazing. The hosts were so kind and provided delicious locally grown food. I would have liked to stay for a month! The road in had some bumpy sections but our tuktuk rental handled it fine. There were some roosters and dogs on the property but not near the balcony view room.

Beautiful property immersed in the nature with stunning designed rooms. I highly recommend this place if you will visit Kandy! A bit far from the city but perfect if you wanna a more peaceful place, anyway the city can be easily reached with a scooter or tuk tuk. Staff was also impeccable, friendly and helpful!

wow just wow. the most beautiful stay ever. I couldn't believe the view we had from our balcony. the nicest place I've stayed while travelling sri lanka. it was clean, they were very friendly and attentive. very private also, it was a dream after coming from all the busy. I cannot recommend this place more, we wish we could've stayed longer! it is about 5 minute walk to then get a 5 minute tuk tuk to the centre of Ella. perfect distance to feel in pure peace but easy to get to business of food/ get around. we hope to return one day. thankyou so much

We stayed for two nights in this homestay room. There are two of them, located on two different floors. The place is amazing, surrounded by trees and bushes, it's like being in the jungle. In the morning we saw birds, big squirrels, wild chickens... We really liked it and our son even more. The room is simple but well maintained and comfortable. Our hostess was charming and served us a delicious hearty breakfast. She was very helpful in booking a tuk tuk to take us to town. It's very close. In short, it's generally positive. We recommend it to other hosts.

Dowa Elegance Resort is an absolutely stunning place with amazing staff. The room was stunning and well designed with an unreal view from the private deck. Waking up to the sunrise bouncing off the surrounding mountains is something that I will miss. The included breakfast menu was always delicious and they have so many options to choose from. The location of this property is beyond ideal, as you’re close to both Bandarawela and Ella while still away from all crowds. But the best part of my stay was the attentiveness of the staff who always made sure that I was taken care of here. Highly recommend staying here, you won’t be disappointed!

We loved staying at Sandy’s place - those views are some of the best in Sri Lanka! Watch out for the sunrises and moonrises from the balcony, both of which were stunning during our stay. Her place is a little out of town, which we loved to escape the chaos of Ella town. It felt super private and special. Sandy herself was the highlight of our stay though - a total privilege for us to celebrate Sinhalese new year. Sandy was so welcoming and generous and lovely to spend time with. Thank you, and hope you let us know when you visit London ❤️

The journey to the accommodation was really adventurous. But every meter is worth it to get to this fantastic place. At night you have the background noise of the jungle and fireflies around you. I've rarely seen anything so beautiful. In addition, the place is super nice and the whole team is absolutely eager and helpful

A wild fish pedicure in a waterfall at the end of a trail! Breakfast with a view over the river to the cliff on the other side where a monkey family was playing! This place offers experiences not to be missed. It is an eco lodge, so it is a community development project so expect really friendly staff that do not speak much english. The rooms are what you would expect from an eco lodge and are worth compromising perfection when you think of where it is you are staying! As close to nature as possible. Loved it and can’t recommend enough. Eat everything they offer with no hesitation. Desserts especially were excellent.

Loevly and peacefull place sarrounded by beautiful nature. We enjoyed staying a bit out of Ella, which is reachable in 20 min by tuk or car. The rooms have everything you need and we especially lived the early sunrise. The host is friendly and took well care of us. Thank you for a beautiful stay☺️

We really enjoyed our stay at Kamal’s place. Kamal was an excellent and responsive host. Check in went smoothly and though there were a lot of stairs to climb, Kamal helped us with the bags so it wasn’t an issue. The surroundings were beautiful and lush and the space itself was tidy, with everything we needed. Breakfast was great too. The stay is a short walk from the main hustle and bustle which is better in terms of noise and traffic. The wifi didn’t work for us though which was the primary inconvenience. Overall I would really recommend this stay!

The airbnb is built in old colonial style and situated in the heart of the town which is perfect for your stay in Nuwara Eliya. The staff is friendly and provided us with a breakfast to go when we wanted to go for an early hike in the morning. The room was very big and had two comfortable beds to sleep in. With good weather you can make use of the garden.

We stayed at Saman’s place in Ella during our trip, and it was a lovely experience! The room was basic but very clean and cozy, perfect for a comfortable stay. The real gem here is the view — simply breathtaking! From our window and private balcony, we had a clear view of the lush mountains and a beautiful waterfall. Honestly, we could’ve just sat there all day soaking in the beauty of Ella. Although the property is located on a hill, it’s easily accessible by tuk-tuk. We also enjoyed walking downhill through the scenic tea gardens to reach the town — such a peaceful and picturesque route! Breakfast was delicious and satisfying every morning. Saman was a super responsive and kind host — always quick to help with any questions. He even arranged a tuk-tuk for us early in the morning to get to the train station, which was incredibly helpful. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a quiet, nature-filled escape in Ella with unbeatable views. #coupleexploration

Beautiful house in a beautiful surrounding. There’s two nice gardens to relax as well. The room is clean tidy and well done with amenities working properly. Best part of the stay was the host, Mr Jagath, who’s a kind and friendly man , always helped us with our requests and was warm. 10/10 stay. would recommend .
