Beach house vacation rentals in Edisto Beach

We visited Linda and Jay's in November 2024 and had a very special week in this house. With young children, the proximity to the beach and ease of access was a huge difference maker. My wife and I went down the beach several nights after the kids were in bed and star gazed knowing we could be back in the house in under 30 seconds if needed. The home itself was very well appointed for working remotely. See above proximity to beach making it easy to pop out for 30 min or an hour easily if you need to do this. I would also say this house would be perfect for multi family or large family gatherings. We used the bedrooms and full baths as assets to make it easier to care for 2 under 2, but given each bedroom has its own full bath, you could have everyone together while still not needing to share those private spaces. Highly recommended!!

We loved our stay at this house. The beach feels private and secluded. Only neighbors are seen on the beach. The house was well appointed and clean. We really enjoyed kayaking around the sound and sight seeing dolphins. The host was especially responsive and accommodating regarding check in questions. Definitely look forward to staying here again.

This home got a 5 paw star from the dogs!! They loved the amazing screen porch with the beautiful view, quick four legged walk to the beach and lots of room to play fetch. Zeus was very upset that the cleaners did not leave much for him to find and would like to complain the house was too clean. Thor was very grateful for his preferred form of transportation the LSV to take him to the North end of the island and the shops. We all had an amazing long weekend and would highly suggest Nik's home!

Alexandra was so kind to host us after we left our home in Asheville during Hurricane Helene. Thank you for helping us at the last minute and being so accommodating. There is nothing like a beach front stay to brighten your spirits. The location can’t be beat!

Tracy went above and beyond as a host. Our trip was extremely last minute and our arrival time was most inconvenient yes she was very accommodating. I don’t believe the picture does the view justice. We really enjoyed the grill, hot tub, and hanging out on the deck. She has every type of pillow you may want, great variety. I loved the little details such as the Keurig being stocked and creamer in the fridge. We truly had everything we needed and more. We really enjoyed her recommendations as well. We will be back with the kiddos for sure! Thank you Tracy!!!

This is a great little corner of Folly, particularly if you like to surf and have a pup. You're directly across from beach access to a great surf spot, and just down the street is the washout, so you're golden. The fenced in back yard is excellent if you've got a pup. This house has a ton of charm, is super comfortable and feels like "home".

The house was our favorite set up we’ve had at Edisto! Having the downstairs living area and 3rd floor top porch provided everyone with the space to hang together or solo if they wanted down time! The only semi critique I’d say is the furniture in the pictures are different than what is there now. The downstairs pictures of the couches aren’t accurate bc there was now only one couch and 2 recliners and there is not a foosball like it shows in the picture. It also still says there’s only queens but two of the bedrooms actually have kings now. Again very small detail and we still loved the space so much.

We had a lovely stay at this sweet cottage. A slight problem using the keypad (probably stemming from a power outage the day before we arrived) was quickly resolved by the host. The cottage was super clean, light, bright, with a very spacious living area for all four of us. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, appreciated the selection of teas on the cool night we arrived. I would highly recommend this place and hope to visit again.

Love this area of Hilton Head Island. Super close to the beach but in a nice neighborhood with beautiful trees. The house was a great fit for us. We took our dogs and they loved the large outside porch. The kitchen has recently been renovated and was wonderful. Very comfortable stay and would return in the future.

We had a lovely time at Michelle's place. The location is fantastic-- perfectly walkable to the beach and Coligny Plaza for restaurants and shopping. The amenities are exactly as photographed- clean and lovely. We had some issues with the hot tub during our stay, and Michelle promptly sent out an electrician and did everything possible to resolve it. I'd especially recommend this place if you're visiting with kids in the off-season because there's so much to do inside the house and the yard! Our kids loved the pool table, retro games, mini-golf, hammocks, spa, and hot tub. We even did some cold plunging in the pool. Everything was clean and comfortable for our stay, and the host was friendly and communicative. We look forward to visiting again!

What a great house - plenty of room, great deck to sit out in the sun, two kitchens, very laxing and felt like home!!!!

This was one of the best AirBnBs we have ever stayed in. House was perfect - lots of comfortable seating and so so many amenities. Hosts really thought of everything we might need. Chairs and wagon were so helpful for the beach which was so close!! Pool was a welcome respite throughout the day. Felt very private. Grateful to Rick for answering my questions quickly and efficiently. We will definitely be back!

We celebrated Thanksgiving with friends and family at Frank’s place and it was even more special than we could have imagined. The house comfortably fit five adults and five children under 9 years of age. The backyard was dream. We spent our lazy days and many evenings in the pool and spa. The kids also loved spinning and giggling on the tree swing. The house was furnished beautifully. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the tankless water heater was a pleasant surprise with a packed house. The house was extra cozy with tons of places to lounge and read or watch tv. There were lots of games/toys and space to keep the kids happy and busy. The house is a quick 10 min walk to the beach. Our four year old walked there daily with no complaints. Frank was an amazing host. We couldn’t recommend him enough. He went above and beyond to make our stay memorable for years to come. The home was beautiful. It was a very easy walk to the beach. The small pool was great for our grandkids. Loved the bike trails and easy walk to a playground. We had a great week!

This place is a perfect spot for a family get together. Cozy bedrooms, an inviting screened in porch and living room. The kitchen had everything needed to make a good meal and the general vintage beach house vibe was so comfortable! Not to mention a beautiful beach passage steps from the house! I look forward to returning with my family again some time! My goto stay if I return to Charleston or Mount Pleasant!!

Beautiful home and a great location

Beautiful house with everything you need to make yourself at home. When you walk in the front door, it is very charming and inviting. It's a short, straight walk to a great beach. There is a 4 lane street to cross, but 95% of the time you can walk straight across without stopping. We had 8 adults staying in this lovely place and there was plenty of room and we shared a lot of great meals in the huge kitchen. If we are ever back in the area, this will be our "go to" house!

This was the perfect place for our girls weekend in IOP. Very convenient 5 minute walk from the beach and very close drive to Charleston and Mt. Pleasant. The space is even more beautiful in person with comfortable beds and linens as well. Lisa accommodated an early checkin and was responsive when asking about IOP conditions post Hurricane Debby! I definitely recommend staying here!

We loved the home it was lovely. In my opinion the distance to the beach was an inconvenience. It’s a good walk for families with little kids or older retired adults. The golf cart was not accessible on one of the days and we didn’t get any communication about the situation until we were already at the beach. Driving was an option but even then the distance was long for my parents who are 80+. We still made memories and had a good time. The house was beautiful and very clean. Big enough for everyone to have their own space. My grandchildren loved the bunk beds 3-4 years of age. The hostess was wonderful. She was willing to help if needed.

Spent 4 nights with 6 ladies, celebrating our 45th high school graduation and 50+ years of friendship. House was absolutely perfect for us. We each had our own bedroom and there are 4 baths as well, so nice and roomy. Accommodations VERY comfortable, modern & relaxing. Large open concept kitchen, dining (loved the HUGE table!) and living room was great for socializing; there is a quiet sitting area with extra TV nearby. Quick walk to beach via footbath opens up to one of the widest, quietest and prettiest beaches I 've ever come upon in the US. We did not choose to use the pool due to fall weather but it is beautiful and well lit @ night. Location is great for shopping, dining, sightseeing (Savannah just 1 hour's drive). Island Head Rentals was quick to respond and checked in each day to see how we were doing / see if we needed anything. I would HIGHLY recommend this property and hope to return some day with family.

The house was great for our family with kids. So nice to have 2 1/2 baths! There were some beach chairs and toys that were simple and just enough for us. The kitchen had everything we needed. Hoses and showers outside were all really helpful. The grill was nice to use, too. , The convenience of the location can't be beat.

Location location location!!! We had the absolute BEST time at Diane’s home and it was so close to the beach!! Diane was wonderful to communicate with and we had everything we needed! We will definitely be back!!
