Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Dubuque County

We had a fantastic stay and were spoiled by the spectacular views of the City of Dubuque from the extensive porches on the back side of the home. The home itself is very conducive to hosting fun gatherings for those staying as guests.

My husband and I along with our furry friend stayed at this cute and very clean house. It had everything we needed for a little getaway. Perfect distance to surrounding attractions including Galena.

Stacy's place was great. We visited for an alumni weekend at UD. It was close to campus and very walkable to everything downtown. We will look to stay here again next year.

We enjoyed our stay very much! Meg was thorough about check in directions and helpful with local recommendations that are walking distance. Excellent location near downtown and lots of coffee shops and restaurants. Beautiful views of the city and River. We loved the warmth of this old house and it was clean and decluttered with an updated kitchen. Enjoyed the back screened in porch. Would definitely stay here again!

The 1920's Spanish Revival home was just what we expected, like stepping back in time 100 years but with modern amenities and a clean, uncluttered look and beautiful aesthetic. It was a lovely mix of old and new with everything you might need for a respite away from the everyday. We thoroughly enjoyed the cozy living room, sun room and dining room and cooked up a storm in the well stocked kitchen. Ample sunlight streamed inside in the mornings, perfect to wake up to a hot cup of coffee. We appreciated the ample blankets for the cold winter weekend, many extra small appliances to satisfy our creature comforts and small snacks and treats left out for us. I highly recommend this space, as it is a short drive to all Dubuque has to offer. It was clean, comfortable and beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

Jim (Zeke) was the most friendly airbnb host I’ve ever had! His property is absolutely beautiful - super cozy tiny home with an amazing view of the pond. Zeke was super accommodating with our check in/out times and gave us a tour of the property even when we arrived late at night. Please don’t use this space as just a place to sleep - plan to spend quite a bit of time exploring the trails around the property, enjoying the fire pit, and taking a swim in the refreshing pond. We are so grateful for how welcoming Zeke was, and will definitely be back!

We used it as a base to explore the rest of the area and could have stayed for much longer discovering all the sights. It was nice to come back to all the creature comforts of home (including a dishwasher!) and the canoes were a nice bonus. Clean and cozy place for exploring the area. Yes it's by the railroad. Bring your melatonin and white noise machines, the trains do blow whistles often. Do check out Timmermans Supper Club you can see from the house across the water for a fancier dinner out. Don't miss the river walk down to Star Brewery in Dubuque, IA + historic shot tower. And for a dinner + entertainment we enjoyed Frank O'Dowds Irish pub in Galena. We also explored Maquoketa caves and took the Fenelon place elevator ride for a picturesque view of the city. Location is a little more in a run-down type area by the tracks, but the house itself is updated and clean inside. Several security cameras are used reducing the feeling of privacy, but safer for belongings.

This home was beautiful, clean and cozy. Bed was very comfortable. Host was very responsive.

Very nice, older home with some updates including the kitchen, quarter bathroom and extra sleeping space in the basement. We loved the original hardwood floors. The backyard is fully fenced and perfect for our two Aussies. We appreciated the dog food bowls and dog toys. Although other listings are pet friendly, it was good to know our dogs were truly welcomed in Rylea's home. Neighborhood is very nice, with a lot of older, grand homes. The busy street was a bit loud, but it allowed for easy access to pretty much everything. This is one of the few homes within a 20-25 minute drive of Galena with a fully fenced yard. We had a nice stay here and would stay again!

All went according to plan. Place was as advertised in the photos, the directions were easy to follow, and parking was good. Things inside the apartment were labeled, and easy to find.

Nathan's place is a gem! I wouldn't say very walkable to downtown, but a very short drive to anything you need. Quiet and private, perfect for a weekend getaway. He was very responsive and answered the phone when I called him with a question. He allowed early check in for a small fee, which was still a great deal. The price was better than any hotel and we got twice as much space and privacy. I'll stay at Nathan's again anytime I'm in town!

We loved our stay at Susie's place! It felt like home and everything you could think of Susie thought of to make our stay peaceful and homey. The beds were extremely comfortable. We had a guest of 10 people and it didn’t not feel over crowded. The jacuzzi way ready for use. The neighborhood is beautiful. We went Galena the next day which wasn’t that far from Dubuque. The check out was easy and we appreciated the clear instructions. Will not disappoint

The cabin was beyond peaceful and very private! But not far from shopping, and restaurants! Hot tub was clean and very well maintained! Was such an amazing/beautiful getaway!

We have nothing but great praises for this cabin! Very clean the moment we stepped in! Having a bed and bathroom and living area on both levels was terrific. Plenty of games, blankets and towels. Kitchen is small but has everything we needed for our stay. The outside spaces are to die for and the view is hard to beat. You can walk trails around the pond or even canoe on the pond! The views of Dubuque at night are also beautiful. The place was so quiet and relaxing and absolutely perfect for us! We are already planning on coming back! Rob was very responsive and gave us all the information we needed!! Thanks again Rob!

Fun place, we really loved the hot tub and sauna. There was plenty of space to spread out and relax. Game area was really fun too
