Smoking friendly vacation rentals in Downtown San Diego

We had an amazing 20+ days staying at Elissa’s place! The property is exactly as shown in the photos, and it’s well-equipped with everything we needed. Elissa thoughtfully provided plenty of bed linens and household supplies, which made our stay even more convenient. Parking was super easy, with a “dedicated parking spot” right in front of the unit, and the laundry room is just across the street. Elissa is an incredibly kind and friendly host. She was always quick to respond to any issues we encountered and proactively offered solutions. For instance, when we initially had some trouble with the heating, she promptly arranged for a repair technician to come and fix it. On our check-out day, due to our own delay, she was very understanding and gave us plenty of time to prepare. Elissa is a wonderful host, and we would love to stay at her property again in the future if we have the chance!

My family and I had a wonderful Christmas stay here. The neighborhood’s festive atmosphere, with its twinkling lights and lively streets, made the holiday even more special. We enjoyed delicious meals at local Italian restaurants, strolled through the charming piazzas, and soaked in the vibrant culture. The apartment was cozy and perfectly located, allowing us to feel right at home while still being immersed in the holiday spirit. It was a memorable way to celebrate Christmas together!

Brett’s place is comfortable for 2 adults & 2 dogs, (small & med size). I honestly didn’t see floor space available for the blow up bed, unless it’s outside on the spacious patio. We had a great time and appreciated the convenient location of this rental. Thank you Brett, Linda C.

Decided to take a small winter getaway in San Diego and this place was absolutely perfect for it. It was in a wonderful walkable and quiet neighborhood with lots to do around. Lovely and comfortable space with everything that you need. It was exactly what we needed! I can’t wait to come back and stay here again.

Fantastic Weekend Getaway! I stayed at Adam's place in San Diego this weekend, and it was an amazing experience! The apartment was clean, stylish, and exactly as described in the listing. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I appreciated the thoughtful touches like fresh towels. The location was perfect in the middle of town, close to the freeway, making it easy to explore everything the area has to offer. Adam and Zain were wonderful hosts, providing clear check-in instructions and being readily available for any questions I had throughout my stay. Gary's place is located in a beautiful neighborhood, walkable to grocery stores and restaurants. The neighborhood was peaceful. The space is as described. I was pleasantly surprised at the kitchen being so well equipped and with many options for cooking. As noted in another review, you can hear voices, animals, doors from others in the same house, but it was minimal. Just good to know if that bothers you. The bed was comfortable and the space is used well.

What a charming and cozy place. So much space and very, very clean. The bed is incredibly comfortable (so were the pillows). Plenty of bedding and towels. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to make some light meals. The ceilings are low, but my 6'6" tall husband only bumped his head once. It was a bit cool when we were there , but the gas fireplace took the chill off. We are already planning a trip back to San Diego and will absolutely stay at Kathryn's place again. There are a bunch of international style restaurants two blocks down the hill (we spent quite a bit of time in the Shakespeare British Pub). The light rail train is an easy walk 6 blocks away as well.

This place is amazing. It felt like home and I immediately wished I would have more days to enjoy it. It’s a gem right in the smack of a city, it was way better than the pictures. You can tell the owners thought of everything. The bed was super comfortable… the bidet in the bathroom was the best!!! We lacked absolutely nothing, it was worth every moment and dime.

We so enjoyed our stay here, the house is very comfortable and well-organized and had everything we needed to feel at home. Nathan was helpful and responsive, and the house is very easy and user-friendly. A few details for anyone else planning on staying there: The Coffee Situation: There is a nespresso machine and coffee pods provided, as well as a french press, but there is NOT a traditional coffee maker, so plan accordingly if that's your thing. Mini Marts: There is an ARCO mini mart a 7 minute walk from the house, very convenient for any little thing you might be missing! Traffic Noise: The front bedroom (the kids room) is quite loud at night due to the passing traffic- don't put your more delicate sleepers in that room! All in all we had a great time and recommend this house!

The spa was great. It was very easy to the spa heated to get in at a certain time.

We had an amazing stay at Jasmine’s place! She was incredibly helpful and communicated promptly throughout our visit. What truly set her apart was her thoughtfulness—when we mentioned we were celebrating a special occasion, she surprised us with a lovely gift that made our stay even more memorable. Additionally, she went above and beyond by refunding our cleaning fee after we explained we had back-to-back bookings and were charged twice. Her kindness and attention to detail made our experience seamless and enjoyable. Highly recommend staying here!

We had 7 adults and a 2-year old that stayed in the house and then we also had a 32 foot RV that Bruce let us park behind the garage and fence so it was in the back yard. It was the BEST set up for us!!! My husband and I travel in our RV about 9 months a year so we stayed in our RV with electric and water connection. All our kids flew to San Diego for Christmas and stayed in the house. It worked out so good! We had fires in the fire pit multiple nights and the hot tub was amazing. The back yard was so beautiful. My 2-year old granddaughter loved the sand and all the sand toys too! Can’t say enough good things about Bruce’s hospitality!

Great place to stay if you are visiting the San Diego area. Big yard and dog friendly.

Our family of four, including two children ages 9 and 7, stayed over NYE and New Years Day. We wanted to be in SD to attend the wild animal safari park. Choosing Navid’s house was easy because we stayed here two years ago and loved it. The kids love the pool, bunk beds and TVs in each rooms. The house has everything we need but is also comfortable and close to grocery stores and restaurants. Navid is an awesome host. He’s very easy going and willing to accommodate requests if possible. We will be back for a third stay.

This was a truly fabulous stay at Casa Paloma. Every single detail was perfect. I felt like I was at home, not an Air BNB. I hosted our family Thanksgiving dinner for 6 here, and the kitchen had absolutely everything I needed to prepare and serve a complicated meal. And the dining room table and place settings were lovely. And besides it being perfect for a big family meal- it was equally as wonderful for small, quiet morning breakfasts and work from home days. My family was only all with me for 2 of my 7 days there. The rest of the time it was a perfect place to do my workouts, walking, meeting up with friends for dinner at local fabulous restaurants. And the grocery stores are all excellent and very close. It’s a perfect place in every way. And Paula is fabulous!

By far the best place in TJ! Would highly recommend. The place felt right at home and opens up to a beautiful view of the ocean. Extremely clean and easy to access. Will be staying here every time!

Great place and great host! Maricarmen has been very diligent with keeping the house organized, as well as decorating with the wonderful giraffe theme. She is very responsive and addresses any issues immediately. All in all, it is a nice, well-maintained and well-organized house. Maricarmen is a great host who goes the extra mile to make sure her guests feel welcomed and at-home. I would highly recommend her!

Great place to stay in Baja. The area was quiet and felt safe. Security was always by the gate checking who is coming in and out. The condo has spectacular ocean views and the best part we were able to have our furbabies with us. This condo has everything you need. The host has great communication and very friendly. Definetely will be my choice of booking everytime we come to Baja from now on.
