Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Douglas Lake

Great spot for my husband and our dogs to stop on our roadtrip. The large yard with the full privacy fence was great for our dogs and we appreciated being able to pull our car in as well. A few bigger barking dogs in the neighborhood, including one in the yard next door, but none ever came to the fence or barked for too long so it didn’t bother us too much. A potential issue I wanted to mention is the space in the bathroom between the sink and the shower wall is pretty narrow and if you are plus size it’s something to consider as that’s the only bathroom. The beds were also a little hard but was fine for us for a short stay. The house was overall clean and comfortable and we would definitely consider stopping here again if in the area.

It was an absolutely amazing stay! It’s exactly as described and the host communicates really quickly. The hot tub was amazing and I loved the tv in there (We watched “Who Killed Markiplier” while in there lol). We would absolutely come back again!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is very well maintained and extremely charming. Loved the walkability of the historic district and seeing all the beautiful homes around the area. We were very impressed by the stocked pantry and all the amenities the home supplied. Definitely would stay here again and will be recommending to family and friends who plan to visit the area. Kevin is a great host.

Cabin was nice and in great location off of Wear's Valley Road. Easy access to Pigeon Forge, Townsend, and Gatlinburg. Lovely mountain view. My family really enjoyed the game room. The host was very responsive.

This was our second stay with Samantha. Her place is quiet and private and just a few minutes from all Knoxville has to offer.

This was the second time we stayed at Lisa and Tom’s place, and it was just as great as the first time! The house is located in a safe, quiet neighborhood. The house set up worked great with our group of kids, dogs and grandparents. Beds are comfortable and there are TVs in every room, so everyone can watch what they want. We texted the host about a minor issue with the garbage cans and he responded immediately and took care of it. We’ll be back!

Drake's place is a great home tucked back in the woods. Very close to the Cosby entrance for the national park, making it quick and convenient to get into the mountains and do some hiking. The house itself was in a quiet and secluded area. The furniture was comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked for prepping meals. Grocery stores less than 20 minutes away, as well as plenty of restaurants. Overall an enjoyable stay and I'd recommend it to anyone looking to see the national park without the crowds you see closer to Gatlinburg.

My husband and I stayed at Lincoln’s cabin for 4 nights. For our first trip to the Smoky Mountains, we wanted a peaceful and secluded dog-friendly cabin with a view of the mountains. Lincoln’s spot delivered just that and more! This cabin is about a 8.5 minute drive up a mountain, an adventure that we grew to love during our stay. Our 4WD handled well, but I would caution 2WDrivers if there is weather. The location is 25 minutes from both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, which made it so easy for us to plan our day. We loved the warm fireplaces and the little Christmas decor touches. We really had ourselves a smoky mountain Christmas trip. The only let down was that we didn’t get to see any bears!

I think the reviews speak for their self. The place was clean and had everything to get you started and everything you need. Emily was responsive with questions. Easy check in and check out. Nice quiet neighborhood with other cabins. Close to attractions. Definitely would stay here again. The kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub.

Though located in the mountains, the roads were blacktop and maintained. The cabin was fairly easy to get to. The cabin was incredibly spacious. The beds were comfortable with crisp, clean linen, quilts and numerous quality pillows. The appliances were exceptionally nice, and all the cookware were of quality. The accommodations were greater than expectations and not just basic to meet needs. All the bedrooms have their own bathroom and shower areas. There is also a bathroom on each floor for quick easy access including pool area. The hot tub was perfect. The veiw is breath taking. Cabin is in a great location whether you made plans for pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg, it is very close to town. We booked approximately six months out and the host ensured pertinent information was provided prior to our travel day. I would definitely stay here again with my family.

Great location and a nice cabin.

We had an amazing time during our stay at the cabin. As others have mentioned, we were warmly greeted by a few playful bear cubs, which was a delightful surprise! The cabin was exactly as described by our host, Jennie—charming, cozy, and well-maintained. Jennie was exceptionally responsive to all our questions both before and during our stay, making the experience even more enjoyable. The cabin was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and incredibly inviting. We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway!

Beautiful cabin and location. Kids had a great time with the indoor pool and arcade games. Hot tub, fire table, and everything else worked well and were well maintained. Christa was very responsive and accommodating. Thank you for providing a great spot for our vacation!

My girlfriend and I loved it….Beautiful cabin located in a very scenic area. Perfect escape to the daily worries. It gave a cozy, private, romantic vibe making our stay very pleasant. Very impressed on the cleanliness of the cabin not to mention on how well furnished it was. Equipped with a hot tub which ended up being the cherry on top.

The cabin was one of the cleanest that we’ve ever stayed in. Great location close to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge!

This cabin was perfect. My husband and I and our two dogs were cozy comfortable and had everything we needed. Including a great yard for the dogs. Getting firewood is expensive and not easy to find, so do some research if you want to use the beautiful fireplace. Amy was quick to answer all of my questions and over all we had a beautiful vacation. Thanks Amy we loved your home! 💜

This cabin was perfect for the four of us for the weekend. The hot tub was super nice along with the outdoor seating and TV. The host was very helpful and responded quickly. The location wasn’t far from Pigeon Forge at all but it was just far enough to feel quiet and tucked away. Parking was accessible, you park right in front of the main entrance. We will definitely recommend this place to others and stay here again!

My family and I spent Thanksgiving week here and we were all pleased. On our last day my children were discussing plans for next year. Lisa shared plenty of activity options prior to our arrival and also had the cabin decorated with Christmas decor.

Had a great stay!! The pictures don't do justice to how beautiful the cabin and the surroundings are! The sound of the creek, the perfect set up to sit outside, and the cabin itself were all amazing. Highly recommend this place!

Great stay at a great location. There are several buildings you may be assigned into, but the building we were assigned had absolutely beautiful views of Mt Leconte from the balcony. We've stayed here three times, and each was pleasant. There are four pools to choose from, an arcade, a spa and mini-golf. There is a community shuttle constantly running, and you can take a trolly into Gatlinburg for free. Everyone is super friendly. The room was just as described. Plenty of space for five of us. We could have added four more and been just as comfortable. We'll be back!
