Our stay at Tahaja Guest Tower just a little outside the bustling city centre of Bhaktapur was truly blissful. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped by the serene beauty of the surrounding fields and the warm hospitality of our hosts. The location is ideal for anyone seeking a tranquil retreat while still being close enough to explore the rich and vibrant culture of Bhaktapur. Whether it was enjoying the quit moments on the terrace or venturing out on a heritage walk with Mohan's son, which is just one of the many activities offered, every moment was special. We visited during winter time and were pleasantly surprised that due to its architecture the Guest Tower was not too cold at night. While you are there, you can also learn more about the architect and browse a few of his books from their small library. We are so happy we found this little sanctuary and hope to be back soon! A very big recommendation!

This is a great location in Banepa if you need the convenience of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Several good restaurants, a small craft beer bar, and an excellent dairy are steps away. All this, plus Rashil has managed to create a private, peaceful space with a large courtyard filled with plants, bamboo, and a tree. The decor is tasteful, using environmentally conscious materials that represent the best of Nepali traditional crafts. A lot of thought was devoted to providing various amenities in an aesthetically pleasing way. It's cozy and welcoming. It is also an easy commute to Dhulikhel Hospital using back roads, for anyone volunteering or interning there.

Good communication, clean, near shops and restaurants, but still peaceful for the city. I'd definitely stay here again.

A unique holiday home! On the hill, on which eventually becomes a sandy road, lies this house complex with a wonderful terrace (the photos can get an update!) overlooking Banepa. Everything is tastefully decorated "multi-ethnic". The beds have electrically heated under blanket. What delight in the still colder nights in November/December! The bathrooms are spacious with Western toilets. In the main house the 2 showers have plenty of hot water. Shyam and Jani are on site for practical matters. They speak only Nepali. The super sweet dogs are loose on the property at night. Nice company! You can hear the city in the distance but at the same time there are also the sounds of nature and its culture (calling...) From the house you can take walks or go for a run. We lived, worked and enjoyed it for 2 weeks!
