Vacation rentals with a kayak in Deer Isle

Great location. Woke up to the sounds of birds. very responsive. I would have given it a 5 star all the way, David was amazing and responded in a very timely manner. But, the turn over service could have been much better. The previous guest left a wine bottle in the automatic fridge ice dispenser and it was unfounded until my family found a large peice of glass in their drink, serious hazard to drink glass. Should have been spotted by the turn over service but, who would check the ice maker for a bottle a wine? I understand that. Very uncommon and unfortunate for us. David responded in a very fast manner and gave us options to accommodate the situation. I would have left a 5 star if this was the only thing but everything was so unorganized in the kitchen, they had everything but nothing made sense to why it was there. Sink didn't drain. There were also stains on the sheets and a pizza box left by the fridge that wasn't ours. Little things but the turn over service was a let down.

Sydney’s house was perfect for our family! It was clean, with beautiful views on a quiet, private street. The house had plenty of toiletries, we didn’t need to buy any household items while there. The hot tub was clean and perfect for a breezy afternoon looking out at the water. Sydney was a great host, providing tons of recommendations on places to dine and sites to see. Perfect location to visit both the Schoodic Peninsula and Acadia National Park/Bar Harbor! Would love to stay here again.

We were traveling up the east coast for 8 days with many stops along the way. This stay was by far the most like “home.” We were able to fully relax and enjoy the scenery! Beautiful home and very clean.

My cousin and I spent a week at holly's house. We made our day trips from there. All the sights were easily and quickly accessible by car from there. Whether in the north, south, east or west of Maine. We enjoyed spending our evenings in a fully equipped house. From check-in to check-out, everything was uncomplicated. We really enjoyed our time there.

LOVED Tj's place! Wish I were staying there for vacation purposes, instead it was just while I was moving and movers had already taken all my furniture. But, right when you walk in, there's the water... The interior felt like home. Was able to walk down to a restaurant and there's a park across the street and a smaller one right next to the house. Didn't get to use the kayak since it was snowing... :-) Highly recommend Tj's home for whatever purpose. I will definitely try to get this home when I make it back up there!

The cabin was peaceful and had a very at-home feel to it. The beds were firm yet comfortable, there was a washer and dryer which was very helpful for our family of 4 and our week long stay. Plenty of towels and blankets were provided as well as basic necessities such as soaps, kitchen utensils and everything needed for lake activities including fishing, kayaking and swimming. I will say you may want to stop and grab some bug spray on your way in. The owners were kind enough to give us a can when they came down to offer us help with our luggage. The owners were sweet and we loved meeting them. We would love to be back ❤️

This was certainly a peaceful oasis. My partner and I do not often have the opportunity to get away together so when we do we hope for the perfect place to escape to. Ani and Gil's place was just that place. Ani was ALWAYS responsive and extremely helpful. I had the pleasure of meeting Gil who was just lovely. The space was clean and had everything someone could need. The outside patio is so nice to sit on in the morning with a cup of coffee and a book. It's so quiet! We loved our stay so much we, spur of the moment, asked for one more night. Thank you and Gil for such a pleasant experience. I recommend 100% that you book this place. It's just dreamy.

The cabin was breathtaking, with a history painted and photographed among her walls. Perfect amount of space to accommodate a family should you have one. The morning sunrise was spiritual, and humbling. Host was incredibly friendly and accommodating for our dog. Arjuna. Will absolutely be returning. Thank you for an amazing and beautiful experience.

good value, a little creepy if you're showing up at night (haunted vibes) a little damp smelling, especially in the bathroom (since it's carpeted) but the view makes up for everything. beds and sheets were all clean and comfortable upon arrival.

Our family had a lovely stay at the Lupine Cottage. Such a peaceful spot. We enjoyed getting out on the water in the kayaks and sitting out in the Adirondack chairs listening to the loons and barred owls call. Nice central location for exploring Acadia and the mid coast. Great person, she really went over and above what she would have been expected. The dock with boats were great, my boys love the lake. The place was clean and very well decorated. Lots of extra appliances. Washer and dryer is very nice when you are on a lake. Nothing to complain about. If you stay here and especially if you have kids you will be very happy.

Robert was an amazing host! Super kind and helpful from the beginning till the end. The house was just perfect,so cozy, peaceful, and full of thoughtful little touches. Everything was exactly as described (maybe even better!). We felt at home the moment we walked in and didn’t even notice how fast 10 days flew by. It will always be a special memory for us. I spent a week at this beautiful little cabin with my two grandchildren. It was the perfect size and looks just as beautiful as the pictures inside and out. It was spotlessly clean when we arrived. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and the beds were very comfortable. The lake can be seen from the cabin and we enjoyed the dock for fishing and watching the ducks. It’s very close to town for groceries etc but very quiet and peaceful on a dead end street. Jason was very welcoming and always available for questions and quick to respond. The only thing that would have made it better for my grandkids is if there was easier access for getting into the lake with a a little beach area or a lawn that went down to the water. But if you want a quiet get away in beautiful surroundings don’t hesitate.

Bruce & Susan were so accommodating and gracious hosts. Property was delightful and fully equipped with all you could need.

After getting things clean we enjoyed 28 days was not good weather went back to take care of our mothers things was good to have this place to come relax in would rent again even tho it wasn’t cleaned they tried to make things right loved the cabin

We loved our stay at this charming lakeside cabin! The perfect blend of rustic appeal and modern comforts made it an ideal getaway. While it felt authentically cozy and tucked away, the thoughtful amenities—like reliable Wi-Fi, flatscreen TVs, and an easy-to-use coffee machine—made our trip stress-free and enjoyable. The outdoor hot tub was an absolute hit, especially situated right next to the fire pit—there's nothing quite like soaking under the stars after roasting marshmallows by the campfire. Mornings were just as memorable, sipping coffee from the swinging bench overlooking a truly stunning lake view. The location was also ideal, just a short drive from fun eateries in Bar Harbor and the beautiful trails of Acadia National Park, offering us plenty of opportunities for exploration. The hosts were fantastic, quickly responding to all our questions and making us feel right at home. We highly recommend this spot!

We did not take much advantage of all the cabin had to offer; we were in the area for other reasons, and mostly using this as a place to sleep. That was kind of a shame; I hope we can get back there sometime to enjoy the lake and the games and the firepit and the kayaks and the cabin itself. I saw a review saying the beds were a little too hard? I disagree, I thought they were extremely comfortable. The only info I can think of that I didn't see in other reviews: we showed up very late at night, and it was hard to find in the dark (it's very obvious in daylight). It is at an intersection, but GPS sent us slightly past the intersection; it's actually on your left just before you get to the last intersection. Other than that, I agree with all the other positive reviews. Lovely place.

I had a great stay here! it's quiet, the lake is beautiful, the fishing was solid, and Jessica did a great job explaining everything!

Everything from the homey, clean vibe- to the activities provided, such as kayaking on the bay, were delightful and rejuvenating. The cabin was absolutely fantastic. A truly wonderful space. Patricia was an amazing host. Extremely detailed and up to date with her recommendations and info about the area. Along with this she was just so friendly and helpful. I really cannot express enough how wonderful our stay was.

This lake house is wonderful for beautiful views of the lake in a comfy, cozy environment. The house is well stocked with anything you need and Bonnie is very responsive to any questions. We loved being able to go kayaking in the morning with an easy launch site right next to the house. Listening to the loons at night was so peaceful as well. We would highly recommend this house for anyone looking for a Maine vacation!

The cabin was very nice. It has a lot of games for entertainment and has great views of the lake. There is only one heater for the entire cabin and the place was cold when we arrived. However, it warmed up very quickly. Location is amazing: 50min away from Acadia NP. The only problem that we found is that there was no body wash available. I am sure Dan would have brought some if we had asked, since he provided a hair dryer when requested. Our stay was very positive, we would come again! P.D.: the cabin does not have a microwave, but has all the other things you might need for cooking, even grilling.
