Monthly Rentals in Daufuskie Island

We LOVED this location and everything about the home. It was even more beautiful than I remembered from the pictures. Although it is a duplex we could only hear the neighbors dog a few times, but we never heard anyone talking or moving around. We could barely hear movement within our own unit it was so quiet! We loved having a beautiful beach right outside our door and gear to use at on the back porch. The only hiccup of our trip was our golf cart was losing charge quickly. When we let them know through text they quickly got us a new one that worked perfectly! We can’t wait to go back!

We’ve been coming to the island frequently for over six years and this was our best stay yet! Misty was the friendliest of hosts and soo very accommodating! She went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything that we needed and felt at home. The property is stunning, the only downside was that we didn’t get to spend more time there as we got in later than expected! We will be back soon, hopefully for a longer stay next time!!

If you are lucky enough to stay at the Oyster Cottage, you are lucky enough. What a home run find this was. This place is steeped in history and set against a totally serene backdrop in Daufuskie. This cottage is tucked away on what we found to be the much more desirable side of the island. Peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by natural beauty on all sides. The cottage is tastefully appointed (owned & operated by an artist…) and we found everything we needed and then some. We brought bikes to ride to/on the beach but enjoyed joy rides around the island in the golf cart. My partner and I also both agreed that talking to Chase one morning in his studio next door was one of the biggest highlights of our trip. We can’t recommend this cottage or a conversation with Chase enough, and we’d love to get back sometime. Would highly recommend bringing or renting bikes and riding them down to the southern tip of the beach. It’s a short ride, and we had the beach all to ourselves each day :) cheers!
