Apartment vacation rentals in Dare County

Jessica's communication was awesome and she is a fantastic host overall. The apartment is very nice and the location is also great as longa s you don't mind walking-- about a 10 minute walk to the beach and a 5 minute walk to the Duck boardwalk. Lots of shops right nearby within a 5 minute walk too. The only caveat I'd say for the unit is it's not ideal for traveling with a toddler (which is no fault of the host nor really a negative in and of itself-- not every unit needs to be). The windows of the 2nd bedroom are south facing and we had a hard time getting it dark enough for nap time even with our own blackout curtains, and there are about 20 steps to walk up to the 2nd floor unit. The open floor plan is great, but also makes it a little hard to toddler proof. Again, not a negative, but just something to be aware for families traveling with young kids.

My family and I greatly enjoyed our stay in the Outer Banks! Jenny and Ania’s listing in Outer Banks is an affordable way to stay by the beach during peak season near Duck. There is a fantastic restaurant with scenic views across the street, and cute shops, delis, ice cream, a boardwalk and the famous Duck Donuts 1/2 a mile to a mile from the place! The rental was spacious and the perfect landing spot between trips to the nearby beach and other trips around the area. There are a lot of great amenities for an active family too - tennis, pickle ball, basketball, and two pool options. There is a brand new indoor facility with the pool, hot tub and small fitness center too! A special treat - there are deer wandering the grounds as you first come in! Jenny and Ania were very responsive and checked in to ensure things went smoothly for us. Definitely Recommend!!

Amy made sure to communicate regularly from the moment I booked. She made all instructions very clear and when I reached out with any questions she was quick to respond.

Bradley was very responsive and extremely helpful. The place matched the description perfectly and it was a great relaxing space for a quiet weekend.

Since it was off season, I think the price could have been lower. We did not have access to the firepit either. Overall a great place though.

Amazing place all around!! Close to everything we wanted to do and walk to the beach! Pet friendly was a huge plus! Plenty of outside space for our dog to sniff around on her lead. The sound was also within walking distance and the sunsets were amazing! The woman who lives upstairs was so friendly and made us a few homemade meals/treats. This world needs more people like her. Thank you Mark and Doris - 10 stars!!!

This place was a gem! It was just the right amount of homey and peaceful without any clutter. Pristine and absolutely exceeded expectations! Close to the beach, close to eateries, easy to find things to do, and lots of shopping nearby if the weather did not cooperate. We enjoyed our stay immensely and would highly recommend it to any of our friends and family. We hope to book again!

Heba and her team were always responsive and attentive to any concerns or questions I had. My wife and I couldn’t have been more relaxed and refreshed coming home after this experience in OBX for the first time. I hope to be back in the not too distant future and reserve this property again. Thanks again!

Mary and Larry were wonderful hosts! The apartment was extremely clean, the atmosphere was very welcoming, and the neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. (We stayed in October.) Mary and Larry struck the perfect balance as hosts - they respected our privacy but were ready to sit and talk out by the fire pit when we were feeling friendly. We had car trouble while we were with them and they were eager to help out in any way they could and gave us a ride to pick up the car when it was done. We would definitely stay with them again if we got the chance!

Stayed here for one night on our way through to Ocracoke. Cute little place, as described, clean and cozy. Walkable to the pier and restaurants. Really appreciate the flexible check in and check out times. Amanda was pro-active, gave crystal clear directions, and was super responsive. Even offered us plenty of travel toiletries for anything we may have forgotten. Would definitely stay here again! Thank you!

Perfect size for 3 nights. Close to lots of dining options. Very responsive host. Short walk to beach.

My partner and I stayed here for a short weekend getaway. The location was ideal - coffee shop and restaurants were easy to walk to and the home was generally central (within a 20 min drive) to many cool activities (beach, aquarium, ghost tours, etc). The area is also very quiet, which is perfect for an escape from mainland city life. We really appreciated all of the little touches in the home too - made it very cozy and inviting! Would totally recommend!

We loved Melissa’s place it was clean, quiet, and beautiful. It was a 5 minute walk to the beach and short drive to other attractions, food, and fun. Would definitely stay again!

Highly recommend Becky’s place. She is such a friendly host and the space was perfect. It was large and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. Great location for kiteboarding with lots of walkable shops and restaurants! We will be back!

Absolutely amazing location, with comfortable bed and full kitchen. Enjoyed porch view of Jockey's Ridge and hot tub under the stars. Exactly the peaceful obx experience we were looking for!

Christina is an excellent host and has the BEST bed and breakfast in Kill Devil Hills for a couple or an individual. She is friendly and happy to assist her guests in any way possible. Her bed and breakfast is immaculately clean with all the best amenities, is three blocks from the beach, and close to wherever you want to eat or visit. I look forward to returning to this treasure in the near future!

Peachy keen! Great looking neighborhood. The neighbors friendly and kept to themselves. Enjoyed watching the deer 🦌. I really like the neighborhood,anyway, I been to other places where the neighborhood was no where as great. Very relaxing neighborhood. It is like I step back in time where neighbors where friendly, nice little talks, asked if there is anything you need but kept to themselves. Clean place and place look like something that was in a movie, anyway, I can not put it into words - it would take someone that writes poetry. I do not often give all 5 stars but this place gets all 5 stars from me. If I had to find something wrong I would the place needed more dishes.

Had a great girls trip! Hot tub is newer and the lid assist a major plus! Sarah is always communicative and it's my second time staying at one of her rentals. Love the location - close to the other towns- making it a quick drive during winter months. Neighborhood is peaceful. It was too windy to walk to the stores, but during warmer months - it wouldn't be an issue. You can hear the unit upstairs walking (this didn'tbother my group), but can't hear any talking/tv/music. Plenty of space to spread out and clean. We would stay again.

Pat and Chuck were nothing but excellent! They were great with communication, responding almost immediately every single time. The welcome to their place made you feel very comfortable. Everything was so tidy and clean, hosts were so thoughtful with leaving little items in the room for guests to use. We would absolutely love to stay at their place again!

This is a beautiful cute wellness oasis!! We loved our stay there. After spending time at the windy beach (8min walk to the beach!), you can enjoy the beautiful sauna and have a relaxing bath. The bed is great as well, do comfortable. We will be back for sure, thank you so much!

Such a cute little spot!! Loved the decor and the bed was very comfortable. The location is very convenient for ubering to local bars, and there are tons of restaurant options! The apartment is stocked with everything you need including little things like handsoap and bathing essentials. The hot tub and outdoor shower are a great addition just be aware of the outdoor camera😉. Although, it isn’t faced towards the shower or hot tub it is directly on you on your way in and out of both. There are also windows from the airbnb upstairs that over look the hot tub too that do make it feel a little less private. Also, make sure you read the dog policy in full prior to booking so you don’t make the same mistake I did. They have a 45lb limit and charge additional cleaning fees. Overall would recommend to a solo traveler for work or for fun!

We came here for our honeymoon and it was wonderful. It was in a quiet neighborhood on the sound side so you can totally cozy up at the house and stay inside. Close to many restaurants and shopping! We loved the hot tub it was a nice way to unwind. Maria and the other hosts were great! Super responsive and the place was spotless when we arrived! Would stay again and I highly recommend!
