The view from this house is everything! This little house is separated from the rest of the town, so you really get a feeling of isolation! It also helps that we got to see the northern lights. Just wow! Spacey enough for 6 adults!

Perfect location with lots to walk to. The views everywhere were beautiful. Host was very responsive and laid out instructions to find the place easily. Love the cat that gave us a visit. 😊

We had a great 3 day stay at Sveinns place in Akureyri and used it as a base camp for daytrips in the area/region. We were 3 adults and found the place spacious and clean with comfortable beds and large bathroom. Large kitchen with all the things we needed for our stay. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood 5-8 min driving from downtown Akureyri. There are grocery stores not so far from the house. We can strongly recommend this place.

Easy to find and easy to get in. We were there for 2 overnights on Dec24th and Dec 25th 2024 so stores/restaurants were closed for Christmas. We knew that ahead of time. Had a beautiful Christmas walk around town. We didn’t experience the Northern Lights but I did get some fantastic pictures of the sky. 10 different shades of blue. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful place to go, this is the place. It felt like we were the only two people left on earth. Not a sound around.. Host was available quickly with any communication needed.

Great place to stay at!

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely house. Everything was nearby and the town was really cute. Definetly Wörth a visit when staying in the north of iceland.

Lovely home right next to the church and a short walk from the harbor and restaurants. We'll appointed work lovely decorations. Be aware if you have limited mobility, the stairs to the lower floor are very steep.

Homey, comfortable, & very spacious apartment in a quiet neighborhood with easy parking. Conveniently located near shopping center with grocery store and only a 5 min drive to downtown Akureyri. Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful, classy apartment right in the heart of things. It was just a quick stay, but we very much enjoyed ourselves. Street parking was plentiful and easy even on a night when there was a big concert at the Hof.

We loved this house! It's in a very nice neighborhood about a 5 minute walk from restaurants, shops, the city pool (!), the big church, etc. Even the Netto grocery story is walking distance. The house is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We made it our home base for a few days and took day trips to sights and activities in the area. We couldn't have asked for more.

Very good apartment and my small dog alowed what is very rare here in Iceland. We enjoyed our time there and we can recomend it and we will stay there again

This Airbnb in Akureyri was a great choice, as it was close to the centre and the interior was really nice (furnished with wooden mid-century furniture, which was a big plus for me). Helga, our host was very friendly and helpful, she recommended great restaurants, we tried one of them, and had a top notch experience.

A very cozy and lovely place to stay in, feels like home - well equipped kitchen and bathroom, and the living space was very comfortable. Great location too, close to shops and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our two nights here!

If I could give more stars for location, I would. Definitely go the the public pool a short walk away. The people are so friendly and there are 2 awesome water slides (one is referred to by local kids as the toilet bowl, you'll see why in a fun way). This is a bottom floor apartment which seems very new. The apartment was quiet and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook. The bed was comfy. The Northern lights were amazing. Probably the best place we stayed in Iceland and a good value.

Spacious and good location. Spent some quality time in the backyard and enjoyed some family Netflix time. Well stocked kitchen was a treat.

It is very difficult to get someone to offer you their own house for your stay, and for one night only. Andri and his family do it. It is unbelievable. As amazing is their beautiful home. Magnificent, beautiful, comfortable and spotlessly clean. It doesn't deserve 5 points out of 5, it deserves 10 out of 5. Pity that on a trip around Iceland you have to rush to see the sites and can't enjoy the house for a few hours awake, having a drink on the beautiful terrace. Extraordinary. More than recommended. This apartment was modern and clean on a quiet street. Our family of 4 stayed here for a week, and it suit our needs perfectly. We cooked breakfast each morning at the apartment and packed lunch for sight seeing. The place is super convenient to town and we enjoyed several excellent local restaurants for dinner. Would highly recommend this accommodation!
