Perfect location with lots to walk to. The views everywhere were beautiful. Host was very responsive and laid out instructions to find the place easily. Love the cat that gave us a visit. 😊

We had a great 3 day stay at Sveinns place in Akureyri and used it as a base camp for daytrips in the area/region. We were 3 adults and found the place spacious and clean with comfortable beds and large bathroom. Large kitchen with all the things we needed for our stay. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood 5-8 min driving from downtown Akureyri. There are grocery stores not so far from the house. We can strongly recommend this place.

Very cosy old, but beautifully renovated town house located in the center of the little town. Good place for hiking or visiting the gorgeous herring museum. The car can be parked in front of the house on the public road.

The painters house was in the most beautiful area! Perfect for rest and relaxation.

Me and my family had a fantastic time at Stefanias house. The view over Akureyri is absolutelly amazing from inside the living room and the house is equipped with everything we needed during our stay. We had a perfect week there. Looking forward to visiting again.

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely house. Everything was nearby and the town was really cute. Definetly Wörth a visit when staying in the north of iceland.

The kitchen was well-stocked, clean, and in a good location. However, the pictures of people inside were a bit unsettling, but that’s just a personal preference. The host was responsive and friendly. Highly recommend if you are spending the night in town.

Lovely to stay in Berglindi's airbnb apartment. Location was perfect, apartment was fun and fit perfect for us. The only need to really pasa parking because I got two parking tickets for one long weekend.

This was one of the best Airbnb stays I’ve had. The apartment was so welcoming and the special touches were so thoughtful and appreciated. From the gift basket to the personalized welcome sheet, we felt at home immediately. Everything was immaculate and the added convenience of the washer/dryer was wonderful after spending a week in an RV. Host was fabulous and very responsive. I cannot recommend this stay more highly. My only regret was not accounting for additional nights — we would have loved another night or two it was so relaxing and comfortable.

Hands down the favorite place we stayed during our trips! Conveniently located near downtown but, quieter than staying in a more touristy area. They were great hosts and super helpful and the place was in great condition. Will be recommending this place to any friends I know traveling to Iceland.

TLDR It was superb and I absolutely recommend it. Absolutely wonderful apartment and extremely friendly, helpful host too. My kids loved the massive TV and game console too and when we were resting from lovely days out in the local area we had great fun in the apartment. The apartment was spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. The kitchen was fantastic and the equipment that is provided is extensive and allowed me to cook Xmas dinner which was fantastic. The dishwasher was a great convenience too. The bathroom was great and the showers were both hot and very relaxing. There is a washing machine to keep, laundry, towels and bathmats clean and a drying rack to dry them. It is conveniently placed for the town centre, either a 15 minute walk or 5 minute drive. The area around the apartment was quiet and peaceful even during Xmas celebrations.

Very convenient location for parking, walking, stretching out in the space itself. Clean and secure.

We loved this house! It's in a very nice neighborhood about a 5 minute walk from restaurants, shops, the city pool (!), the big church, etc. Even the Netto grocery story is walking distance. The house is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We made it our home base for a few days and took day trips to sights and activities in the area. We couldn't have asked for more.

We had a beautiful christmas stay here! The apartment was so cosy and we were sad to leave this place. It felt refreshing to be able to cook our dinner every night and sit down and watch some TV. The fold out couch was great for movie nights too!

This Airbnb in Akureyri was a great choice, as it was close to the centre and the interior was really nice (furnished with wooden mid-century furniture, which was a big plus for me). Helga, our host was very friendly and helpful, she recommended great restaurants, we tried one of them, and had a top notch experience.

If I could give more stars for location, I would. Definitely go the the public pool a short walk away. The people are so friendly and there are 2 awesome water slides (one is referred to by local kids as the toilet bowl, you'll see why in a fun way). This is a bottom floor apartment which seems very new. The apartment was quiet and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook. The bed was comfy. The Northern lights were amazing. Probably the best place we stayed in Iceland and a good value.

The apartment was a brilliant place to stay. It’s very modern, comfortable and very well equipped. We really appreciated the hosts’ generosity in lending toys and sledges for our children. Their note on things to do locally really helped make our stay in Akureyri even more enjoyable. I would recommend this place to anyone, especially families.

This was by far the best place we stayed during our visit to Iceland. The unit was nicely equipped from the kitchen to the linens. Location was walkable to dinner and local shopping. We were even able to walk to the docks for our whale watching excursion. Our only driving was to the Forest Lagoon hot springs (highly recommend them, we went twice)

A very cozy and lovely place to stay in, feels like home - well equipped kitchen and bathroom, and the living space was very comfortable. Great location too, close to shops and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our two nights here!

It is very difficult to get someone to offer you their own house for your stay, and for one night only. Andri and his family do it. It is unbelievable. As amazing is their beautiful home. Magnificent, beautiful, comfortable and spotlessly clean. It doesn't deserve 5 points out of 5, it deserves 10 out of 5. Pity that on a trip around Iceland you have to rush to see the sites and can't enjoy the house for a few hours awake, having a drink on the beautiful terrace. Extraordinary. More than recommended. This apartment was modern and clean on a quiet street. Our family of 4 stayed here for a week, and it suit our needs perfectly. We cooked breakfast each morning at the apartment and packed lunch for sight seeing. The place is super convenient to town and we enjoyed several excellent local restaurants for dinner. Would highly recommend this accommodation!
