Vacation home at the castle

Our listed holiday home with approx. 95 square meters of living space is located close to the old town of Nideggen. Between the market square and the castle, quietly located but still in the middle of the action. In a few minutes you can reach the center of Nideggen with its beautiful cafes and restaurants, where there is sure to be something for everyone. It is about 100 m to the castle. From our house you can also start wonderful hikes to the surrounding area such as the Rurtal or the climbing rocks.

This stylish accommodation is perfect for private individuals as well as for trade fair trips. Adults and children enjoy a piece of real nature between two big cities. We had a lovely, relaxing couple of days staying at the cabin. It has a really calm and harmonious vibe with warm wood tones in the interior and minimalistic design. We especially liked the indoor dining area with it's comfortable, cushioned bench in front of the large window and great view. The hot tub was also enjoyable and easy to get nice and warm. We travelled by train and walked 35 Min to the cabin. It's easy to find. Some parts of the way there don't have an actual footpath but it is definitely doable. All up a really lovely place to stay in. Our host Steven was also very helpful and communicative.

Wine & hiking: pure holiday idyll

The house is spacious and has a really nice layout. Rooms are big, and the bathroom is very comfortable. Perfect for our family of 4 and 2 friends. Some small downsides are the view from the garden, you overlook the valley with some industry and the highway is quite nearby, you can hear it from the garden. But we guess the garden would feel very different in spring and summer when the trees have all their leaves. We had some difficulties with the floor heating, but I'm am sure this will get fixed, since Yewgenija is a super host who went out of her way to answer our questions asap and is very open to suggestions on how to improve the house and the experience of her guests. The area is very nice for daytrips and walks and the Ahr and its small villages are certainly worth the trip, although I would rather recommend a visit outside of winter. Since the big flood of 2021 a lot has been done to rebuild the area and the Ahr-valley residents are very warm and welcoming to tourists!

We had an excellent stay for a couple of days of hiking - with a great comfortable and clean base. Extra services like wood for the fireplace or a gas fired grill were available at a reasonable extra cost. Overall great AirBnb experience - the sunrises and sunsets from the terrace are hard to match. Thanks again for hosting us!

The place was very clean! Stefano is super friendly and always available. We were even allowed to enter the accommodation with our 2 toddlers before check-in. Both bedrooms could be darkened. No unnecessary decoration (1.5 year old likes to tidy up😂). Everything you need. Will definitely be booking again on our next visit 👌
