Places to stay in Clintwood

This was the perfect place to stay on my trip to meet up with my sister. She was camping nearby and I got this cabin. The day before I was asked if I wanted a pack n play because I was bringing my baby and of course I said yes because it would be one less thing to pack. We had a long travel day and when we checked in I saw they set up the pack n play and put sheets on it for me! It was such a nice gesture and I felt it was so sweet. They also put out snacks for us and le croix in the fridge for me - it was like they knew us! The location was beautiful. From the porch we could hear the river, birds chirping, and the occasional train passing. We took their recommendation to go to natural tunnel park which was so fun and the kids loved it! I would definitely stay here again! Thank you guys!

What can we say about the cottage. Awesome location in a beautiful area of the holston river. Walkable and easy to make run loop on Mendota Rd. Hosts are top notch and all responsive. We would recommend this to anyone that wants to explore and escape from the hustle of daily life. Listening to the rain on the metal Roof or the birds signing. Watching dear walk across the field and a great grey heron on the island from a swinging bridge.

If you're looking to enjoy nature and disconnect, this is the place! So close to the Breaks interstate Park (5 minutes?), which is filled with great hiking. And the cabin is perfect for family fun - ping pong tournaments and Ms. PacMan! - plus a hot tub for post hike relaxing. This part of VA is very remote so there are not a ton of restaurants nearby so come prepared! That said, the kitchen is stocked with everything you could need!

What a beautiful piece of heaven on earth. We loved the cows, the stunning view of the river, the brightness of the stars, and the quiet….did I mention….the quiet! We enjoyed our time and hope we will be able to come again and stay longer.

Loved the way the home was decorated. Home was close to everything we needed. Hosts were very kind and friendly. You cant go wrong stay here!! Just do it!!

Amy is always a pleasure. We rely on her hospitality regularly. The creek, the view of the mountains from the porch is so peaceful in the early morning hours. Feels like home.

We had a peaceful and quiet Christmas with family invited over for Christmas Eve dinner. We really enjoyed our stay. There is plenty of room for our two children to play inside and outside. This was our second time staying and plan to return again this upcoming year. Great location for us to our family. It really makes it easy for all of us to get together. Everything was nice and clean and Denver is a great and communicative host.
