House vacation rentals in Christchurch

Excellent and well appointed home in the heart of Christchurch - more than enough space for our family of 6, and easy walking to the heart of town. Loved it!

The place had budget furnishings but was clean, mostly quiet, and we had no difficulties.

We enjoyed our stay at Min's place! The location was great - close to the park for picnics and morning walks, and close enough to walk into town to the Riverside market. We also enjoyed having the option of dining outside in the backyard. The apartment was very clean and everything was in working order, and Min was proactive with instructions and responsive to our questions. Because we were travelling as a family with my one year old, there were a few things we realized we missed. We planned to do most of our cooking and meals at home and found the kitchen was only minimally stocked, but we were able to make do. The beds were also a bit small (definitely smaller than a queen - maybe a full?) and I frequently bed share with my baby but this wasn't possible. I only share these things to provide information to other families like ours. Overall, I absolutely recommend Min's place! It would be perfect if you eat out most meals or are in town for a conference and just need a place to sleep

The perfect spot to start our trip. The place was beautiful, private and serene but still close enough to be walkable to several attractions nearby. We had everything we needed. Would definitely book again.

Highly recommend J&H House. Newly built townhouse and all the furniture and equipment are of good quality. I can see that they are really taking good care of the place. The two bedroom setup was a surprise as I wasn't expecting that prior. The mattress and linen are so very comfortable and made me feel right at home. The water pressure is very high as well, made the shower feel super nice. Kitchen was nicely set up as well. 10 out of 10.

Thank you for accomodating our request and let my pooches in your place, outdoor area and fully fence. Cozy apartment, it’s not a big space but it’s enough to come home to sleep after a day in the city. Bed comfy, the pillows are too soft hehe Bathroom are spacious and living area is good too. Narrow driveway but handy to have parking space dedicated to your stay, easy checking in/out. Will I stay again ? YES!

We had a great stay at the house. Location is excellent, walking distance to Hagley Park, Riccarton, Mona Vale. While there are town houses all around you it still felt private apart from a bit of noise from neighbours. A few more amenities is the main thing missing from taking this house to the next level. Christina was great to deal with and we'd happily stay again. Thanks

Great house and location, perfect for a couple of families to stay together. Great for entertaining. The host was excellent when we had a problem with the sink he came and fixed it straight away. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Lovely house in a quiet neighborhood on the bay near Diamond Harbour. The house is well appointed and comfortable. We loved learning about the family and the artwork.

Great stay for five Adults. Lovely and clean with all we needed. Beautifully presented guest breakfast along with a fruit bowl. Host very responsive to help us when we needed.

Rebecca’s home was the perfect stay for my family and I. The location was walking distance to everything we needed and the property felt safe and private at all times. Our family of 5, all adults, stayed at Steven & Amanda's place for 6 nights, and we loved it! Very comfortable and clean, lots of amenities, some super-clear instructions on how things work in the house, and easily contactable hosts. Fantastic property. Even better than photos. The pool and outside area was amazing. Every amenity you could think of was there. Added touch of a Christmas tree and a present under it for our the little girl in our group. Would highly recommend.

Amazing place. Beautiful inside and out (pool, patio dining, garden), modern, and immaculate. Everything was high quality from five star bedding to the well equipped kitchen. Hostess Jules was very responsive and friendly…The property sits in a nice neighborhood high above Christchurch, and our favorite part was on the other side (a short drive) - Taylor’s Mistake Beach and the world class walking trail above and past it. I don’t normally write reviews, but this place was really nice.

Wow! What a superb place to stay. Our family loved staying at Rebecca’s place. Everyone was friendly but not intrusive. The kids had a blast using the heated pool and we all enjoyed the hot tub. The place was clean and well equipped, comfy beds and a lovely deck and big table to enjoy company together. We did trips out to Hanmer Springs, Kaikoura, Arthur’s pass and into Christchurch and the gondola and this place was perfect to get to all of those. I will definitely be recommending to friends. What a beautiful home in a unique location. Our three generations gathered from three countries for a lovely 5 days together in Christchurch. The views from all levels of this home are over the top. With high end cookware, two dishwashers and (my personal favorite and usual airbnb pet peeve) sharp knives, we grilled and gathered for “dinners in” every night instead of going out. Great access to governors bay pier and coffee/pizza just a short walk away. Loved this place so much and would return in a heartbeat.

Have booked the property for me and my girls to prep for my wedding and for us newlyweds to just soak in the moment. Perfect location. Close enough to the wedding venue and restaurants around, spacious, and very peaceful. Love how homey the house is. It was squeaky clean as well. Thank you for sharing your property.
