Cabin vacation rentals in China Lake

We loved our stay at Ceara's place in Winthrop. We wanted a weekend/workday getaway and it was everything we wanted and more! It was a curious change of place for our toddler too! The location is very private and beautiful, and the stay has everything we could ask for, including a playable guitar! Thanks again for the wonderful experience!

It was off season when we stayed; lake and summer activities past, Autumn leaves have fallen, and temperatures are chilly, but just before things turn really cold. The Davis Camp was a serene, private haven at this time of year. Views of the lake were calming, the central heating was wonderful, the layout of the camp was wonderful, offering plenty of privacy in the bedrooms and nice central areas to convene. We saw Eagles, beaver, loons, ducks, deer, and more. Any concerns we had (and they were few; common in renting) were handled professionally, quickly, and with thoughtfulness.

Terrill and Charlie‘s cabin is lovely! Great communication, the cabin is well equipped (including lots of board games) and super cozy. We had a really relaxing time and might come back in spring :)

The place was as advertised. It was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. The view of the pond was gorgeous. The beds were great to sleep on and the pillows were soft and squishy just like I like them plus there were plenty of them on the bed. The living room was very roomy and the furniture was very comfortable. Teri was very responsive to my messages. Issues were resolved quickly in this case me thinking I locked the house key in the house and with just a few messages Teri had it was resolved. The only negative - the bedrooms are upstairs and there is a spiral staircase to get to it. If you have mobility issues or small kids issues this be an issue. The bathroom was big and so was the shower with plenty of hot water and water pressure. Teri knew I was arriving after dark so made sure the light over the porch was left on. The path to the was well-lit also.

I loved this place! Enjoying coffee and meals outside on the deck overlooking the lake and beautiful surroundings of nature. I felt safe there and was a charming neighborhood. I loved that there were boats to use and a dock to watch sunset an autumn harvest moon over lake! Jess was the perfect host and made sure everything was great when I arrived. She was very helpful when I had any questions and I am looking so forward to going back there again! Thank you Jess for sharing this wonderful place!!!

We had the best time. The cabin was beautiful and felt like we were in our own little world. Everything was clean and cozy and the kitchen was nicely stocked for both cooking and baking. Close enough to civilisation to explore and shop, but exactly the cabin get away we were looking for.

David is an incredibly helpful and gracious host. He is clear in communicating how to find the camp, provided us help to make pizza dough (bringing us equipment!), had great cookbooks, had drink making equipment, and when my husband lost his hearing aids in the water, spent 30 mins with his snorkel looking for them. You can't ask for nicer host. The camp itself is well equipped and very comfortable. Did I mention it has A/C and a dishwasher? Conveniences not normally found when you're so close to the water. The well water was great and the beds comfortable.

John was an amazing host, quick and responsive! Place was as listed and the family had a great time

Lori’s is exactly what we need while visiting family over a holiday. She is very gracious to host us over Thanksgiving as the last occupants of the year. Even during a snow storm, her place is cosy and beautiful. This is our second year coming, and we love it every time. We would recommend it for those looking for a charming getaway from busy life. This house was amazing. It is located in a great spot with many activities to choose from. Secluded but close to some great hiking trails, restaurants, and places to shop. The campfire and hot tub make for great outdoor relaxation. Can't recommend it enough! Jen is a great host. 11/10

Just returned from the most fantastic 2 weeks exploring the US which included a weeks stay at Kiwi Lodge. Where to start? This was exactly as described and the perfect base for exploring Maine. The property was spotless and has all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. 3 beautiful bedrooms, 2 great sized bathrooms, wonderful living area and kitchen and fantastic games room. Hot tub was brilliant. The location on the lake is just perfect, we had the lake to ourselves and took the canoe out. Nearest town of Farmington has all the shops and cafes you’d need. The communication from Kay was great from the day we booked, and recommendations we took her up on were all absolutely spot on. Thank you Kay and thank you Kiwi Lodge for a holiday to remember!

A beautiful cabin set on a picturesque lake! Comfy beds and tons of natural light. We used the cabin as our home base after two full days of exploring the campuses of Colby and Bowdoin. My only regret is not having an opportunity to take out one of the stand up paddle boards.

We had such a wonderful stay at Peter and Toby’s Smitten cabin. The midnight hot tub during a full moon in December was really special. We will definitely be coming back.

We had the best time! The two separate cottages provided were fantastic. Well appointed with a nice country vibe. Never turned on the TV. Just played cards, ate and talked. Very relaxing. We brought our boat and it was so convenient to tie up at Josée’s dock. The fishing was great too! I highly recommend.

Fantastic stop on our way up to Acadia. Only wish we had booked for two nights instead of one! the wood stove was super efficient on a very chilly October night. Close to the Pour Farm and Odd Alewives breweries, which were awesome. And very quick drive to Camden for food options and excellent ocean/mountain hikes. Very clean and cozy Maine camp. We hope to be back!

We had a wonderful visit at Caitlin’s cozy cabin! Loved watching the sunrise in the morning from the front porch and winding down with a glass of wine in the evening outside. Caitlin and Jackie were both very responsive and great hosts - will be staying here again!

Great place. Exceded our expectations in all regards. We had a great stay.

I stayed here with my partner and family. This place was way better than I expected. Before we got there we were worried that it might be cold. They have HEATED FLOORS so fancy! We stayed nice and warm. I was also worried about the water because it is well but it is drinkable and we had no problems with it even with a big group using it. It doesn’t have any smell. The house comes with way more than any other Airbnb I’ve stayed at. Anything you could need in a kitchen they have. Same with the bathroom they had plenty of towels and cloths plus bathroom spray which is nice when you are sharing it with others. This place is very kid friendly. They had plenty of games and toys. They have a gate so no little ones can go upstairs on their own, covers on the outlet. The bedrooms were perfect, master was huge and ton of privacy at night. I would keep in mind if you are bringing little ones is that this place is decorated very nicely so we did have to move reachable decorations away from them.

The cabin was cozy and perfect for our winter weekend full of exploring and hiking. The location is beautiful and ideal for a peaceful getaway. It’s also a great spot to bring your fur babies! My dog definitely enjoyed her stay as well 🐾

Kim's place felt like camping out, in a great way. We love the little three stringed dulcimer and cooking hot dogs on the campfire. The beds were comfortable! Thank you, Kim!

The cabin is a great place to stay during a ski weekend. Elizabeth was a gracious host, she even recommended a dog daycare nearby. We will certainly be back.

We had such a peaceful, fantastic stay at Theresa's cabin! It is so charming, cozy, clean, and exactly as pictured/described. We had everything we needed for a quiet 2 night stay with our dog, who absolutely loved the trails and freedom to roam! Theresa was kind of enough to give us a tour of the farm/animal sanctuary where we met all of the animals and heard their stories - highlight of the trip! Perfect for couples with dogs who are looking for a quiet, secluded weekend away. We'd love to come back in the future!

Jamie and Jed’s Webber Pond Cabin felt like home as soon as we walked in. The thoughtful touches, cozy atmosphere, cleanliness, beautiful setting and decor, and wonderful support from the host made this one of our favorite Airbnb experiences. We look forward to staying again in the future! ❄️
