We had a lovely stay at this apartment! It is in a very clean and well maintained aparthotel called Oliva Hotel with nice furnishings. The host Sophia was very responsive and helpful. It has a particularly nice and clean pool and garden area with a small kids play area. We visited in May and there were only a few apartments occupied so it was nice and quiet. I got the impression it would still be fairly quiet in high season as it doesn't have an attached restaurant or bar like the bigger resorts nearby. Maleme is a nice area with a good supermarket, lots of decent restaurants and lovely sea view. The beach is a pebble one. It has buses going through it which include ones going to Chania, Falasarna and Paleochora. The photos of the apartment I feel don't really do it justice (especially the one with the white plastic chairs on a balcony is not a correct one). We definitely recommend staying here!

One of the best Airbnb spots I have stayed in! The apartment has amazing views, close to tons of restaurants/bakeries/coffee shops, and only a 20min walk to old town. The hosts are the best, they were very friendly and made sure that you felt at home! They even left us pastries one morning. I highly recommend this apartment! We will definitely be coming back!

Jurga and her husband were extremely kind people. The bed was comfy. And the view from the location was breathtaking. 10/10 recommondations!

What an amazing place! Ioannis has thought about everything you could ever need and it is there!! Every thing was immaculate, beautiful white linen, beach towels, the best kitchen ever. Ioannis very thoughtfully had provided large bottles of water and fresh fruit in the fridge which I thought was wonderful. We had a problem on arrival which was sorted so quickly, thank you Ioannis! We have been to many Airb&bs and this was the best. So near the sea and fantastic restaurants, i miss the wonderful food! Thank you so much for our wonderful stay

We had a really nice stay at Georgios place. Enjoying the seaside view while having breakfast on the terrace is amazing. The flat was clean and we found everything we needed. Would love to come back

Just back from 10 amazing days at Casa del Mar - an oasis of peace and quiet, from wherever you're coming from. The house sits atop a hill, with the most wonderful views across the sea to an island and the rest of the Cretan mainland. That view was the backdrop to many meals, family conversations, and fun-filled evenings. The house is large, with plenty of room for the 8 of us who stayed there. Great facilities throughout, with AC, 4 clean bathrooms, and two kitchens. We used the outdoor grill one evening to make BBQ and it worked well (charcoal). The infinity pool was another meeting place throughout the week. Deep, clean, and with that same incredible view, we spent a LOT of time in it. The family also enjoyed a very unique aspect to this house - direct access to the sea from the path that winds down from the house. We spent hours snorkeling here, up and down the coast, and saw a large number of fish and other sea life. Overall, an oasis of calm. Run, don't walk!

We loved staying in this calm and peaceful location. The villa is a comfortable size to host 8 people, with all the mod cons you require. The hammock in the garden was well used! Stunning views and having the sea just a few steps away was amazing. It was also only a short walk away from some fabulous restaurants. We would love to come back.

We had a fantastic stay at Seaside Villa Lavrys. The villa itself is spacious, well-maintained, and located in a peaceful area with a lovely view. It’s a perfect spot for a relaxing getaway, but do keep in mind that you’ll need a car to get around as the location is a bit remote. Taxi transportation from Chania costs around €30. What truly made our experience special was our host, Alex. From the moment we booked, Alex was incredibly responsive and attentive, always available to answer any questions we had. He went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable throughout our stay, offering great local tips and assistance whenever needed. His kindness and willingness to help made a huge difference in our trip. Alex’s family was also very warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We would highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a peaceful, family-friendly stay in Crete, and Alex’s hospitality made it even better.

An amazing stay at a gorgeous house on the beach - a pleasure to watch your kids play in the sand while you sit on a private terrace just above. Restaurants (and the people running them) were absolutely wonderful. Its a small area, detached from the city and large tourism projects elsewhere. But Marathi Beach has everything you need for a very relaxing and enjoyable visit. My only comment is that the home lacks an indoor livingroom / dining area. It didn't bother us as we happily ate at the covered outdoor table or sat by the beach in the covered loungers - but this may not suit someone looking to relax inside in the late evening

Myself and 3 friends stayed here for a few nights in March. The apartment has plenty of space, and is very nicely decorated. The balcony space is huge and a real selling point for this apartment. The location is great, practically on the beach. There are shops and cafes close by, very short walk to some water front restaurants, and about 20 minute gentle walk to the old town. We had a great time at staying here and would definitely stay here again.

My boyfriend and I visited during Christmas time(2024). She had filled the apartment with Christmas lights and decorations, which after a long day of traveling, immediately put us in the holiday spirit. She was very easy to communicate with and after learning of my boyfriends love of pizza she provided us with a personalized list of the best pizzas around town. There was also a booklet in the apartment with a rundown of the city(history, restaurants, sightseeing, etc) which is helpful to anyone visiting from another country. Would definitely come back to Chania as well as this apartment! Thank you Katerina!

We were very pleased with the place. The walking distance to the beach made it easier and an enjoyable experience for our two children. We also had access to a walking distance supermarket, restaurants, rental car and bus station which we made used of during our stay. The beach was lovely and family friendly. The place was clean and had everything we required for our family. Thank for Paul!

Chrisi is an excellent hostess! She was always helpful and always in a good mood and friendly. The apartment is perfect for excursions, but also perfect for the beach around the corner. In addition, there is everything you need to live and there is even a small bottle of Raki in the fridge to welcome you. We will come back here again!! Brigitte and Peter

Valias place was amazing ! We dealt with her mum Katerina who was super friendly and always on the phone if I needed anything. Perfect location with stunning views of the Venetian port . Everywhere easy to get to. The beach about a 30 min walk and a beautiful one at that. Highly recommend and are looking forward to booking again nxt year 😀

This apartment really was a highlight of our stay. The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay lovely - When we arrived there were fresh flowers, biscuits, Jams, butter, coffee, cheese, fruit and water! Made us feel right at home. Perfect location, quiet and very safe! Only 15/20 mins to walk to the old town, we love a walk - it’s right along the coast too! The area is away from the hustle and bustle so it’s nice and quiet, you can hear the sea, which is so peaceful! Overall, amazing! Genuinely the best host we’ve had!

Amazing host, a small apartment in the perfect quiet location just next to a small beach. Love it a lot as it was not touristic. And there is free parking next to it which is even better. Highly recommended!!!! Definitely will come back to Crete <3

Beautiful apartment with fantastic roof terrace with sea view. Great amenities, the decor is individual, tasteful and cozy. Everything's great, just to feel good! Perfect location for exploring Chania on foot. At the same time, quietly located to relax and enjoy the great views. To the Venetian harbor or the old town, it is a nice little walk across the waterfront past numerous restaurants. Personal and very friendly reception by the hostess, the communication is great.
