Peacefully tucked away with a lovely view of the reservoir. We had a lovely weekend relaxing and walking in the surrounding area. Hot tub was great in the evening when the stars were out.

Absolutely lovely place. My second time here and it is just perfect. Amenities are top tier with clear instructions - we booked the games barn extra and had a lovely night playing games and making pizzas in the pizza oven. The house is extremely homely and cosy, with plenty of space for everyone. The hot tub and sauna are great. Love the animals in the garden. Lovely location for gentle walks and pub just over the road or a nice walk into the next village. Well stocked with everything you need in the kitchen including some little treats, and even robes, extra towels, toiletries and flip flops etc. Really excellent home & hosts. Thanks very much!

We stayed at the cottage for a hen do and had the most amazing time! The cottage itself is absolutely beautiful, and the garden in spring was especially stunning – such a peaceful and picturesque spot. We particularly loved the lawn area, which was perfect for a few competitive games of croquet in the sunshine! The house was incredibly well equipped, with everything we needed for a big group. We really appreciated how many bathrooms there were – it made getting ready so easy for everyone. The surrounding area was lovely to explore, and we had a great time at the local pub, The Swan Inn – definitely worth a visit for food and drinks. Highly recommend this place for a group getaway – we made such special memories here!

Lovely house and location, was ideal for all ages in the party. Amenities were very good and enjoyed using the hot tub. Slight problem finding the house when following the satnav but was able to contact the host quickly who gave perfect directions. would recommend to anyone wanting to visit the area.

Sarah’s place was a great place to stay. We visited as a group of friends and the grounds were a real highlight - including the lake and hot tub! The mezzanine bedroom is fully private. Would recommend!

Had a fantastic weekend here celebrating for a hen weekend! The place was perfect to accommodate a large group, big enough for communal socialising but also enough private spaces. Cathy was fantastic at communicating and was happy to provide extras where needed. Brilliant location, stunning views and easy to get to Cambridge centre! Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely house and lovely hosts. Well equipped kitchen and beds has nice pillows and duvets. Walk routes nearby and amazing zoo 10mins away.

Beautiful cottage style house very homely with lots of personal expression in the decor and personal effects (instruments and furnishings) Very spacious both inside and outside. Close enough to Milton Keynes for our event and close to surrounding towns but very quiet residential area with quaint little strip of shops and a post office. Was ideal stay for our purposes at a time where all accommodation was high it was fairly priced although I did mention it was not most ideal price but when you get there and see that your in their home and protecting their space it is clear why it’s priced as such. This is a stay that will feel like you’re in someone’s home, however, the communication and instructions allow you to feel at ease and welcome. Neighbours seemed lovely and friendly and the cat was a welcomed visitor. Cannot fault the property or its amenities at all would love to stay again

I enjoyed being hosted by Ian and Jenny. They gave me such a warm welcome, including very nice, useful, welcome gifts. The cottage was spotless throughout: fantastic! They were friendly and inclusive yet also left me to my own devices so that my privacy was respected. I am fortunate to have met Ian and Jenny as I feel that I now have a place to which I can always return. I did find the doorways quite low and would have liked to have been forewarned in the property description. However, apart from one mishap on the final day – because I was feeling sad to leave ☹ – I was able to navigate the space very well. I would still give at least 15/10 for a fabulous stay. Thank you, Jenny & Ian. What lovely people you are! What a lovely setting!

We just spent Christmas at Yew Tree Cottage and it was everything and more that we could have asked for. The children had plenty of room to play, it was very spacious and beautifully decorated with Christmas decorations. We will definitely be coming back. The little village was lovely, although we didn’t get to experience the pub we will next time. Next to the pub there is a great little park for children and a football net, which my boy loved. We highly recommend, thank you for a lovely stay!

Firstly what a lovely family of hosts, could not be more helpful and keen to please. The property is pristine, set in beautiful grounds, lovely walks from right outside your front door. First thing I did was book the next three weeks, highly recommended.

This was a memorable stay, we loved it. It was even better than we expected and the quality and building were very tasteful. Everyone was very helpful and responsive and we will book again. The property itself was perfect for six couples, a baby and dog with loads of room for private time and comfortable communal spaces. The building is part of the original Wrest Park. It was decorated and furnished to a very high standard in collaboration with John Lewis with provision for everything you would need through the stay including a generous welcome hamper. The garden was enclosed and great for the dog, the location in the grounds of Wrest Park was private but afforded instant access through a private gate to the Wrest Park house and gardens, which kept us entertained. Local villages provided pubs and good food and the walks were endless in beautiful surroundings.

We had a really great Christmas stay at Paul’s place. The location is rural, tranquil and perfect for a city getaway. Paul was really great at communicating before we arrived and for ensuring we had everything we needed to get settled in. The barn is recently renovated and has a fantastic kitchen for those who love to cook. The log fire is perfect for a winters night. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend.

The cottage was absolutely beautiful, in such a piece full surroundings.. The train station being really close was a big help for us. Communication was great and responsive with any questions! would have loved to stay longer!

Myself, my wife and our youngest son wanted a place to relax and find something that could be a home away from home. We live in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. On the border of Niagara Falls, New York, USA. We wanted to spend Christmas with my eldest son, his wife and their 2 very young children - 2 and 5 months. they live in Biddenham, Bedfordshire, just a 5 minutes drive away. We also have family, my brother in particular and his wife and older children. When we arrived Ali had set the place up and gifted us with a beautiful welcome package that would enable us the ability not to have to rush out to the shops to stock up on the basics. What we experienced was a wonderful rural retreat, a cozy cottage Annexed onto a plush setting of a country house, paddocks and stables, with horses. what could there possibly not to love! As a local boy, from nearby Stony Stratford this truly was wonderful to be close to all of our family. Christmas was a dream here, thank you so much Ali and Jon.

Had such a lovely time here. Rooms were as shown in the pictures. Amazing heating, shower and great cooking facilities. Beautiful location. Lawrence was always very helpful with any questions we had and responded very quickly. No complaints at all! Highly recommend staying if you are visiting the area. The only improvement would be to make the property easier to find on check in. 10/10 would love to stay here again

Great stay in a lovely cottage in a great location. It was only a short walk into the local town with a variety of bars, restaurants and a Tesco Express. The host was very helpful and messaged to check in on us and make sure everything was ok. The checkin process was also very smooth.

The hosts were wonderful, very helpful, responsive and we had some lovely conversations with them. The location was great, tucked away and peaceful. We felt very safe and comfortable. The kitchen was exceptionally well-equipped and we had everything we needed and more. Highly recommended!

Beehive Cottage is a gem. The 400 year old house is full of charm and character, and you can easily forgive its quirks (very low ceilings). We especially loved watching the kids play in the back garden whilst sipping something relaxing. And the dining room was large enough to host Sunday lunch for our extended family. Thanks for having us, would highly recommend.

Lovely place in a nice great quiet area. Accommodation had everything you need with very comfy beds and a lovely main dining/relaxing area. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.
